  1. It’ll probably be something like ‘4 levels in one year is a lot to ask’ but I am fascinated to see how they dance around not calling him up.
  2. You figure you hope to have a ++ bat in left and a + bat in center, there are worse things to do with the right fielder than help steal outs back that Eloy gives away.
  3. Bob is as untrustworthy as they come. There’s just no one this is true, and if it is they need to do it yesterday.
  4. He's under contract for two + an option. It could be worth an ask at least imo.
  5. This is what I don’t want the Sox doing with Nova
  6. Well considering the AL east (Mostly either NY or BOS) has accounted for 90% of pre-two team wild cards.
  7. The fact that they need to add WAY less from outside than they did in 2016
  8. I think it does a couple things for cheap 1. You just made teams who may be looking into Thor more desperate, by taking out the second best option, and you could probably get back 75-80% of what you gave up for Stroman in the offseason. 2. You could do a lot worse than going into 2020 with DeGrom, Syndergaard, Stroman, Alonso, Nimmo, Conforto, McNeil.
  9. I thought this was dumb at first, but now I'm leaning toward it being creative.
  10. The only way it was happening faster than 2020 was if literally every single prospect hit the ground running full speed and healthy. That obviously didn't happen and quite frankly is a ridiculous expectation.
  11. But they did have those guys, and did a great job in moving them which wasn't a given so who cares what would be if they didn't
  12. Does Nova even net you a lottery ticket? Probably not, so for my own sake I'd rather they just keep him.
  13. You're absolutely nuts if you think a manager makes that big a difference.
  14. You figure, they could get 5-6 wins out of internal additions/ people getting healthy. Hopefully another 5-10 wins from continued improvements of the guys present. 16-18 really isn't that crazy if they spend even a little bit of money.
  15. There are better ways to compare relievers to other relievers. But it's pretty on point when comparing relievers to anyone else on the diamond.
  16. He's the last person left associated with the Org that people hadn't turned on
  17. Idk if I'd go that far, but I'm definitely not trading him to buy low on a closer.
  18. Walks are definitely concerning, but I really disagree with the idea that keeps floating around that Sox should regret not trading Fry last year.
  19. The OPS is .597, the slugging is .293. I misspoke
  20. Syndergaard talks would begin and end with Kopech
  21. That still doesn't make it worth sweating what Jon Jay/ AJ Reed/ Ryan Goins are doing.
  22. .186/.313/293 That is the triple slash line against Jace Fry since April 12. The ERA has been 2.61. Hasn't allowed a run in 11 outings. Idk why people are still treating him like a total pumpkin. He's walking too many guys but he's still striking out 12 guys /9.
  23. I don’t get the impression that either radio guy has any idea what the hell is going on behind the scenes. Maybe Bennetti and stone do, but not DJ and certainly not Farmio.
