Idk going with Mendick, Engel, Leury seems like a wise move to me. Back up infielder, Back up outfielder, back up wherever he needs to play guy. Makes much more sense to me than having Lucroy and Collins on the team at the same time.
There's so much depth in this thing that I think it's really unlikely you don't end up with two or three guys who are lights out.
Don't really know who it's going to be, there will probably be someone. Also possible the bullpen ends up being crap, but I don't think that's likely.
It's a combination of too late, and to be honest, too risky. He's built up enough resume to demand a big offer, but not quite enough where you're comfortable giving him a ton of money.
I can't get over how similar the peaks ended up, with how different the level of mitigation was between the two. And if it comes down to seasonality, are we going to see another spike soon?
