  1. This team will never win if they have to simultaneously defeat the opposing team and their own manager.
  2. La Russa makes around 9 or 10 headscratching/awful decisions each game. But one of these teams plays like they want to win and the other looks like they couldn't care less.
  3. To be fair, it's more entertaining than this team right now.
  4. This is 100 percent what I plan on doing. First season tix we've bought since around 08 or 09. I plan on chatting with Brooks or someone to let them know why and I'd love to see others do the same.
  5. If you're gonna sell you need to get mlb ready talent in return. A retool for next year as opposed to a rebuild. Trade off one of Lynn or Giolito with Hendriks and maybe Pollock and/or Burger. Of course this is all a moot point because I knew this rebuild would lead here and I know they'll fail at this too. I just don't know where else to go with my Fandom. Milwaukee?
  6. Why run on the 1st pitch? Let Jose hit with a runner on and if he falls behind then send Robert. Especially after a walk like that.
  7. We just took our 4 year old to his first game a few weeks ago. A weekday game is definitely the way to go. Make sure to get that 1st game certificate is left center field and yes, I believe we got him up to meet southpaw in around the 4th inning. Enjoy!
  8. Hahaha they're so bad in every way. Nice to see a how an intelligent manager can contribute. Thank you Texas.
  9. I was at this game too. Which is still one of my favorite regular season ballgames. That 2003 season has a lot of similarities to me with this season.
  10. I knew that was coming before the pitch. If these guys can't think for themselves give him the take sign there.
  11. Not to get off the Sheets demotion but mlb network has been torching the White Sox all day for that walk yesterday......so there's that.
  12. Come on.....Mlb almost destroyed itself with a lockout, can't decide on a juiced ball or a dead one, and alienated it's fan base with the appletv deal but somehow it's competent enough to racially engineer it's work force? Mlb teams have been sending coaching camps for kids into inner city neighborhoods for years. There are a lot of reasons younger African American kids aren't playing baseball at the same rate they once did but mlb marketing is not one of them. Major League Baseball is equally incompetent to all of its fans.
  13. I hate that this is happening in our city but I also hate when people ignore it. I think a good time can still be had in Chicago but now is the time to be as vigilant as ever wherever you are.
  14. 10 people shot at the McDonalds on State and Chicago last night. But hey it's only a perceived threat so no worries.
  15. All of this right here. Avoid downtown especially on the weekends.
  16. The quality of this broadcast is absolutely awful.
  17. I thought it was mostly fine. Don't like being confined to one area of the park but not a big deal. They were still doing piped in crowd noise opening day which was obnoxious and unnecessary. Did they still do that for the Cleveland series? Would like to see them add capacity soon.
  18. The offense is dead right now so put them in positions they prefer. If Yoan has protection from Abreu and starts to come around then Luis will come around with ample protection and it impacts the rest of the lineup. I'll settle for anything right now that gets Moncada out of the 4 hole. He is not a cleanup hitter.
  19. How about they just stop with the clean up hitter nonsense? He's stated himself he's comfortable in the 2 spot so put him there. Make him comfortable. Give him some protection and see if he gets hot. Quite frankly with TA out Robert should be leading off. If you have Robert, Moncada, Abreu, Grandal everyone there is in a better position to succeed. What's been thrown out there so far is not working.
