  1. You may very well be right BUT with the amount of buyers and teams needing pitching I think we maybe surprised.
  2. I am beginning to do a 180 on Luis Robert. A month ago I did not want Robert traded. However, with the piss poor approach he has had at the plate and not willingness to make adjustments, or be an RBI guy I'm all for trading him for the best deal.
  3. Luis Robert can f*** off. Trade his ass and get whatever you can. Keep your fucking WAR and other statistics. That was one of the most pathetic at bats I have seen in a long time. I do not care what some of you think and say with your statistics but he is not a winning baseball player.
  4. No concept of your fucking strike zone, just flailing away
  5. Eric Fedde Garrett Crochet Drew Thorpe Are absolute treats to watch pitch. Too bad this s%*# organization can't figure this out and find a way to build around those 3. Fedde is 31 and I can guarantee you all he has another 3 good years
  6. This is depressing I'm going to keep drinking
  7. Dodgers don't match up for these trades. I keep going back to the fact that the only team that really matches up for what we're looking for is Baltimore
  8. Like the move only if they are going to let the kid play and not sit him on the bench.
  9. I agree. In a season like this you take a shot on guys like Senzel. There is lots of talent there, maybe something will click. The guys you used as examples are a good analogy for Senzel.
  10. From CBS....... Chicago White Sox It's a little too on the nose that the White Sox drafted Hagen Smith with their first pick, but what's one more low-slot lefty for the organization best known for them? I was a little lower on Smith than the consensus because of a bloated walk rate (he issued free passes more than 10% of the time), yet there's no denying his swing-and-miss ability. Second-round pick Caleb Bonemer had a chance to launch himself into first-round consideration this spring; he didn't do that, but he has a fast bat and a chance to stick on the left side of the infield, even if it's not necessarily shortstop. It'll be interesting to see if the White Sox try to get lefty Blake Larson to chuck his slider any harder than he does. Whatever the case, he's an interesting arm and -- yes, also a lower-slot lefty to boot. Grade: B.
  11. ESPN Covered men's & women's college basketball as a Play-by-Play broadcaster. Served as a sideline reporter for NFL, college football & college basketball. White Sox on NBC Sports Chicago and ESPN, calling collegiate sports and KBO League baseball for the network. Previously Schriffen acted as a reporter for CBS Sports and hosted That Other Pre Game Show on CBS Sports Network.
  12. I agree with your sentiment here about the circumstances of why JB left and going to the Tigers. I enjoyed Benetti but I just think Schriffen has gotten a raw deal from most of us sox fans and from local media. Again, I say that knowing he has to get better and has to grow as a PBP guy.
  13. Don't know if it matters to you but JS is also used by national media like ESPN.
  14. I respect your wife's thoughts but we need to get away from cookie cutter PBP guys. JS has a lot of work to do.......BUT I damn guarantee you if this team was good many of you would enjoy JS a little more then you are now because he has a different style. The fun and energy he brings are not well received right now because the product is miserable. Yes, John has things to work on........he is 98 games into his career.
  15. Steve Stone is still here. So you think Jason was that polarizing that he warranted the high rating himself? Sox were still considered contenders at the start of last year. They were considered dog do do at the start of the this year and had a circus clown (Jerry) alienate the fanbase and national media over this past summer.
  16. Another s%*# on Schriffen thread. Someday people will realize whatever these ratings are and however they rate announcers.......if the sox were 16 games over .500 it wouldn't matter and the ratings would be totally different. People s%*# on the organization for everything (They deserve it)............but it's easy/convenient to hate on them
  17. I would caution everyone that Nightingale is no longer connected to the White Sox like he was once upon a time with KW and RH. He now tends to throw s%*# against the wall.....
  18. I'm not being argumentative but can you give me some examples from recent years. I am having a hard time coming up with quality hitters being traded for quality pitchers.
  19. I think this is a fantastic pick. You can never have enough pitching. The other aspect of this is you can flip pitching for quality hitters, you can't do that the other way around in MLB. Build the best pitching staff in the majors or American League and the rest will take care of itself. Now imagine if dumbass Jerry would pony up and pay crochet when time comes. Imagine what this rotation could be........
