  1. Cowser has an easy swing with a short direct path to the ball and there's definitely more power in there. He's probably going to move himself too far up the board.
  2. Ty Madden is throwing the absolute hell out of it tonight. They really really like him but it's very doubtful he'll be there at 22. Another guy they really like is Colton Cowser and he had a good day too. He's a more realistic target.
  3. I respect the hell out of Law but I think sometimes he gets lost trying to prove a point like he did last year when he was so low on all of the HS pitchers. I'm just not sure what point he's trying to make on this one.
  4. Oh man is he killing it. He just flat out cranks. It's too bad he didn't have the summer some wanted to see because guys like him don't belong in college. He will be an awful lot of fun to follow the next three years and hopefully LSU can keep it rolling and we'll be able to watch him on the big stage in Omaha. What a treat that will be.
  5. That would be incredible but I just can't believe he would be there.
  6. I think they can make it work. Grandal will need his days off and I think the days of Abreu playing 150+ games are over too. Vaughn will get his AB's.
  7. Left handed throwers are positionally limited because they can only play the outfield and 1B. This kills most right hit/left throwers because they don't profile at those positions but it doesn't hurt Fabian because he plays an excellent centerfield and if he goes to a team with an estabablished CF'er he can play a corner because the power profiles there as well. Fabian is a young college toolshed (he graduated HS a year early to attend Florida) who has performed in the best conference in the counrty. Lets not over think this one.
  8. Lucroy is going to make the team and he's going to catch often.
  9. He's a plus defender in CF so the profile doesn't hurt him. I think he's gonna hit.
  10. It will be interesting to see who their model spits out. The young position player (Baez) or the spin rate monster (Jobe).
  11. He can hit a little too. Enjoy him on the Indians.
  12. Interesting comp. The difference is Misner got his shit pushed in during SEC play while Fabian has perfomed. I think he'll go long before the comp round.
  13. It's Leiter for me and it's not particularly close. Rocker can't miss bats with his fastball. Hitters get too good a look at it. He can overpower most college hitters and get them to chase it out of the zone which is where it ends up more times than not because he can't repeat his delivery but he won't get away with poor fastball command at the next level. The slider is great but he's going to need more than that to remain a starter. I've seen him throw a few good changes so that encouraging but the fastball command/deception has to improve.
  14. Awesome thank you! Can't believe he still has Binalas on there. He's looked brutal. Bachman is higher than I thought. The shit is real but my god is it ugly. I'm a little surprised he has Rocker ahead of Hil. Rocker has not impressed me at all. Figured he'd be high on Wood. He might have the highest ceiling in the draft. No Morissette is surprising. He can't play SS but that dude is gonna hit. Holy shit he doesn't have Fabian in his top 30. Wow. I get the swing and miss but all the other tools are plus. How can he have Wood at 11 then? Fabian has performed in the best conference in the country. Come on man.
  15. Keith Law top 30. Who's gonna help a brother out?
  16. Binelas is struggling. He's 2-26 (.077) and may actually look worse than his numbers. Time to make an adjustment, Alex. 6'6" lefty Joe Rock threw a no hitter and sat 91-94 with a decent slider at 82-85.
  17. I don't agree with either decision but I can kinda see it with Kopech. It's long past time they start getting something out of him and they can keep a closer eye on him if he's with the big club. I still think he needs to log some innings in triple A to get at least some of whatever feel he had back but they're gonna throw him in the deep end and see what happens. Starting Crochet in the big league bullpen is a travesty. I guess this also means Lopez starts in triple A and is the first man up. Yikes
  18. I don't like drafting catchers in the 1st round. It's such a demanding position the miss rate is just too high. I'd take a college catcher in the 3-7 range every year. The Arkansas catcher has a chance to be pretty good. The Tennessee guy too.
  19. Talent is the floor makeup is the ceiling.
  20. They've been making dump trucks full of money under the guise of being "smart" and "efficient." I'll give these ivy leaguers one thing; they can sell ice to an eskimo.
  21. I haven't heard anything but it sure is strange.
  22. This is one hell of a sell job they're putting on for Burger and Sheets.
  23. They saw Kelenic (he played a game in the Cell) a ton just like they did every top player but they decided to play it safe.
