  1. Abrams has a really good chance to be the best prospect in baseball a year from now.
  2. Paddock feels like a guy who would be part of this trade.
  3. The Padres have not traded away everyone. They have held onto the guys they feel will be impact big leaguers. Gore, Abrams, Campusano, Head, Weathers, and Hassell are still there. The Padres are very good at self scouting and are not afraid to trade the guys they feel will not help them at the big league level.
  4. I love AJ Preller. Everyone in baseball is so scared to make moves and this guy gives zero fucks. He just wants to improve his team and win. Baseball needs more competitive guys like him.
  5. Longenhagen had Kyle Lewis as a 45. We have stop using him as an appeal to authority. We know more than enough about Madrigal to be able to make our own evaluations.
  6. Huh. The Nats gave up Will Crowe. Probably a better deal than giving him up for 1 year of Bryant.
  7. I would keep Pace. He's done a lot of good things and deserves a chance to see it thru. I would fire Nagy. I loved the hire and really wanted him to succeed but his stubbornness sabotaged the season and that's a fireable offense. I would bring back Mitch and hire a coach who actually likes him and is willing to run an offense that makes him better. I think it would set them back too far to find a new QB. They need to acquire two new tackles thru the draft and free agency and shore up the D line. This team is close.
  8. For this signing period. https://www.fangraphs.com/prospects/the-board/international-players/summary?sort=-1,1&type=0
  9. Logenhagen has Cespedes ranked 39th? Is that right? Yikes
  10. Craig Breslow is an asst GM with the Cubs. Another organization hired an ex player in the FO too. I think it was the Mariners.
  11. It's the players game. The ivy leaguers tried their damndest to push them out but they're gonna make their way back in and not only in the FO but in player development too. It can't happen soon enough.
  12. First Chris Young now Sam Fuld. This is where baseball is heading. They finally figured out that having non-baseball people making basball decisions is a bad thing. Baseball people who also understand analytics and can explain and apply them in a practical way is where this thing is going and I for one say thank f'ing god.
