  1. The Nats are loaded with arms and that's what the Cubs desperatly need. They're a good match. Nats shouldn't have much of a problem signing Bryant to an extension.
  2. Yeah but they have so many holes on that team it's really easy to say hey he fits on the Angels.
  3. I have Happ going to the Angels. I have the Angels signing a bunch of guys. I may have to rethink that.
  4. I have them signing McCann, Pederson and Richards. https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2020/11/enter-the-mlbtr-free-agent-prediction-contest-3.html
  5. This game is not for the faint of heart.
  6. Burger and Sheets aren't the types of players teams target in the rule 5 draft. Teams go after power arms they can stash in the bullpen or versatile bench players. Every team has plenty of their own unathletic 1B/DH types.
  7. How do you know that? He hasn't played in a game since 2017 and that was in low A.
  8. I don't know who you're talking about but I mention his low impact, lack of power and lack of speed.
  9. Meh. Strikes are overrated. I want Velocity! and Spin Rate! and Ride!
  10. One of the worst trades in recent memory just got worse. Yikes
  11. They definitely need a system that doesn't reward losing. I saw one proposal that I absolutely love. The team that finishes with the best record that doesn't qualify for the playoffs gets the first pick then on down. So this year the Giants would have the first pick overall followed by the Philles, Mariners, Kansas City all the way down to the Pirates who would have the 14th pick. The playoff teams remain at the bottom so the Sox would still have the 22nd pick. Imagine teams actually trying to win games in September to improve their draft position rather than trying to lose games. It would make for a much more competitive league.
  12. I think the QO goes away in the next collective bargaining agreement.
  13. Trade em all with no limits. I would love to see teams trading up in the early rounds for a guy they love.
  14. If I remember correctly they liked using him as a pinch hitter because he's very good at hitting velocity. They may have overthought that one.
  15. He's always been a good hitter but a couple years ago he made a swing change that allowed him to get to more power while still keeping his k rate very low.
  16. Zips doesn't see a difference between Madrigal and Mendick either.
  17. That's not true. They offered him in a trade proposal at the deadline.
  18. This is why self scouting is paramount right now. They have to trade the players they don't see as future difference makers before they lose all their value.
  19. No chance but holy shit is it fun to dream on.
  20. Uhhh...you unwittingly played a big part in creating that monster, Theo.
