Outs are outs but yeesh..... -
Got his steroid filled titties lit up today.
-
You're fighting a losing battle, Ruben. Those words are meaningless today.

Exactly. It's not little league baseball it's Major League Baseball. The players want their game played a certain way because it's the best league in the world and they love the game more than you do. I will never understand when fans get mad at the players for wanting their game to be played at the highest level.

8-17 GT: Tigers at Sox

He's got 3 plus pitches and is a very good athlete. He could have been developed as a starter. Worst case he goes back to the bullpen. -

Yep and while they kept him in the minors they should have stretched him out to be a starter. -
I'm told it will be Dunning on Wed. Also hearing there could be a surprise call up soon. ?

Madrigal makes more contact but Mendick makes more quality contact. Running and defense is a wash.

Not much of a separator other than 19 rounds.

Two sinker ballers going today both pretty darn good. Don't try to reinvent the wheel. If it works it works. -

I will be absolutely floored if Reinsdorf adds one penny to payroll this season. -

Are Cub catchers just so bad at this framing bullshit that they decided to make a mockery of the whole thing? They look like little leaguers.
-
Detroit entered tonight at 9-7. They have 3 freakin dudes sitting in Toledo but they decide to run out Ivan F'n Nova again to give up a snow man. MLB has a million problems but teams not trying to win is at the top of the list. This bullshit really pisses me off.

Would you add a FA starter b4 2021, and who/why?
Harold's Leg Lift replied to caulfield12's topic in Pale Hose Talk
The ball stays on the same plane for a longer period of time. That's carry or ride. Pretty much the same thing. -

Carry is a type of fastball life and I don't think it's more effective than any other fastball life. Carry, ride, bore, cut, tail, sink, fade, angle, run are all types of fastball life and all are equally effective if properly located. -

Fastballs on the black are also difficult to square up. We'll just agree to disagree. -

Carry is fine but if it carries the ball over the heart of the plate or out of the strike zone it's useless. Gotta locate it. -

Fastball command is more important than both and neither guy has that. Of the two I think Cease has a much better chance of getting to at least avg fastball command. -
A couple interesting promotions today. The Philles called up Alec Bohm and the Nats called up Seth Romero. Too bad they don't play the Astros. That crazy SOB would throw at every hitter then fight the entire team.

He took a shit ton of steroids and changed his body. He's the Sammy Sosa of pitching.

No. You're thinking of Cadyn Griener. He's in the Orioles org. Grayson Griener is a catcher that went to South Carolina.
