  1. I worked at Party City with a guy named Less Bunting.
  2. They're bypassing an OF corner pretty quick. He has some Jermaine Dye in him. Put him on a corner and let him rake.
  3. Holy crap does this dude have a nice swing and he's 6'5"!?! That's some serious projection going on right there.
  4. He ran a 5.9-6.1 60 huh. Boy that's really fast. Like shattering a world record fast.......
  5. You may as well get ready now for the "he's a black player so Kenny Williams loves him" bullshit. It's going to be fast and furious this year.
  6. Yeah Arkansas is better. He has to worry about getting cut there. Chief Wahoo loves the young ones. Blaze Jordan in the 1st and MacKenzie Wainwright in the 2nd.
  7. Real good athlete. 2 way guy. Undersized right hander with big arm strength. I liked him better as a hitter. He has bat speed and can really run. I'm not sure he can stick at SS but he should be good in CF. I think he's a Vandy guy so not sure 2nd round money will do it.
  8. Max Meyer was 97-99 with a 90-92 slider. I'm not a fan of the frame or the effort level but holy fuck does this dude have an electric arm.
  9. That's a really bad comp. If you want to stay with the White Sox theme he's more like Jose Quintana.
  10. He consistently hits the ball hard and is still just 22 yrs old. He also has plenty of athleticsm to make the neccessary adjustments to his swing. I'm not saying he's a lock but I'm not close to giving up on this dude. I think he can be an everyday corner OF.
  11. The system definitely needs an influx of athleticism/ceiling but they also need high end pitching. I think it's gonna be awfully hard for them to pass on a dude they can pencil in the rotation in a couple years. I'd like to see them pop a college pitcher at 1-11 and then load up on high school athletes the rest of the draft.
  12. Yes Hancock on Friday and Wilcox on Saturday.
  13. These are the guys I'll be keeping an eye on. That's a big pile of college pitching man goo. Georgia- Emerson Hancock and Cole Wilcox Mississippi St- JT Ginn Texas A&M- Asa Lacy Florida- Tommy Mace Oklahoma- Cade Cavalli Florida St- CJ Van Eck Louisville- Reid Detmers Miami- Chris McMahon and Slade Cecconi Tennessee- Garrett Crotchet Vandy- Jake Eder South Carolina- Carmen Mlodzinski
  14. College baseball starts tomorrow. There are a dozen pitchers I expect to come out and announce their presence with authority. This is going to be a really fun spring.
  15. Those 5 combined innings they threw really blew every one away!!!!!
  16. So Longenhagen is projecting Wander Franco to be a Hall of Famer. That's uh....that's aggressive.
  17. Players with a .400 obp last season: Mike Trout (.438) Christian Yelich (.429) Alex Bregman (.432) Anthony Rendon (.412) Cody Bellinger (.406) Juan Soto (.401)
  18. The whole thing was a joke. MLB investigated the bare minimum and then tried to sweep it under the rug. What they reported was the tip of the iceburg and they wanted no part of doing anymore than that. Every god damn person in that entire organization knew exactly what was going on. Lots of really smart people suddenly playing dumb. They should all be banned from baseball and Crane should have been forced to sell the team.
  19. Collins consistently hits the ball much harder than Sheets. Collins: Avg exit velo velo: 92mph 95+ mph: 50% 105+ mph: 7% Sheets: Avg exit velo: 88 mph 95+ mph: 40% 105+ mph: 5% Collins launch angles are also avg to above avg where Sheets is avg to below avg. Collins profiles as an avg power hitting 1B whereas Sheets is well below avg.
  20. It always cracks me up when people get their panties in a bunch over this. More bulletin board material for the Cubs!
  21. Do you know how hard it is to find a league average 2B?
  22. At least Levine gave the correct medicals.
