  1. Crochet threw today. 3.1 IP 2 H 0 ER 0 BB 6 K. I haven't seen any velos but it's a great sign he came out throwing strikes.
  2. Bryce Jarvis is a dude. I didn't give his perfect game a few weeks ago enough respect as I thought it was just a one off against a bad team. Uh-Uh. He's worked his ass off and it shows cause he's got big time stuff and can really command it. His change is plus plus. This guys in the mix now too.
  3. It's bonkers. Lots of dudes had really really good nights.
  4. Asa Lacy vs Nick Gonzalez: 1st Ab: Fastball (good morning), Fastball (good afternoon), Fastball, (good night)
  5. He's supposed to get some work this weekend and start next week against South Carolina.
  6. Man look at that recoil. Waa-Cha!!! I guess if you're humpin it up there at a hundy something has to give.
  7. The Big 10 network will air Minn vs Illinois on 4-10. Yes the Big 10 Network is finally starting to air some friday games. Will wonders never cease......
  8. Larry 1:03 Last week I asked how many college starters can grade out better than Nick Lodolo (you said 3-5). Can you name those pitchers? Keith Law 1:03 I can. 1:05 Oh, did you want me to do it now? Just in this draft class, Lacy, Hancock, Meyer, and Detmers for sure. Omitting Ginn since he's out with 'stiffness,' and I see a few others who could get there but I wouldn't feel strongly enough to list right now. I almost got snarked.
  9. Kershaw and Bumgarner were not super hard throwers in HS.
  10. Or you could have a Riley Pint situation where they peak too early and go backwards.
  11. The recent history of super hard throwing high schoolers is not pretty.
  12. Sheets is going to have all kinds of trouble catching up to big league fastballs.
  13. Traded straight up for the corpse of Fernando Rodney. Unbelievable.
  14. Asa Lacy may end up being the best player in this draft. My god this dude is nasty.
  15. Larry: How many of these college pitchers have a chance to grade out better than last years top college pitcher Nick Lodolo? Keith Law: 3-5. It’s a great pitching class. Great minds. ?
  16. He said he wasn't on it the last two years he was eligible.
  17. You don't see enough teams employing the errant pickoff throw offense. This just might work.
  18. His name was brought up along with Kolten Wong and Kevin Newman none of whom ever made his top 100. Solid players but not stars. There is a method to the madness.
