You're gonna have to learn your clichés. You're gonna have to study them, you're gonna have to know them. They're your friends. Write this down: "We gotta play it one day at a time."
He's not going to be close to an elite base stealer. He's at a 69% success rate in the low minors. Wait until he gets to the big leagues where pitchers actually care about holding runners close and a catcher can consistently put throws on the bag. He'll steal some on the pitchers who get lazy but he won't get that bag when everyone in the ballpark knows he's running. That's what the elite base stealers do.
I have a really bad feeling the reason Collins was brought up was so he can learn as much as possible about the big league game from James McCann before he's traded at the deadline. I obviously hope I'm wrong but I can't think of another logical reason for why he has been handled the way he has.

They finally announced the players for the UA All American game. A couple Chicago area guys will be there. SS Ed Howard (Mt Carmel) and RHP Ben Hernandez (De LaSalle). I'm surprised Wisconsin guy AJ Vukovich wasn't invited but other than that it's a great looking roster.

He's a 4 A hitter. Last year he hit some meaningless home runs in meaningless games. That was last year. This year they're not playing meaningless games and he's 1 for fucking 45. It's inconcievable that this bum is on a major league roster.
I was wondering that too. The shape looked the same so maybe he just threw that one harder but if he has a different shaped slider on top of that good lord.
Cease has a great look. Love his delivery, the fastball has life and the curveball is a hammer. He was missing up and away which is a sure sign of overthrowing due to nerves and is easily correctable. He's gonna be a real good one.
