  1. It's almost as if Hostetler wasn't involved at all......
  2. It's his nephew. Converted catcher. Only started pitching this year. Reliever only.
  3. The Rays took Ben Brecht. UC Santa Barbara via New Trier HS. 6'7" lefty with serious deception. Great pick
  4. The Nats grab Dyson. They sure love the famous guys.
  5. Now KC gets Rave!!!!!! ARGGGG are you f'n kidding me!!!!!!!!!!
  6. 5th round. This is where shit's gonna get real interesting.
  7. I liked Liberatore too in fact I liked a lot of guys in last years draft. To bad they drafted the one guy I did not like. edit: I didn't like Bart much but he was never really in play.
  8. I Loved Singer and still do. He's going to be an excellent pitcher for a long time.
  9. man I am super freakin pissed the Royals grabbed Massey one spot in front of the Sox. They really target the right guys damn them all to hell.
  10. Matthew Allan in the 3rd round?? Seriously they're gonna sign him there? Huh
  11. It cracks me up that a lot of the videos they are using for HS guys is from the All American pre-workout at UIC.
  12. Lots of midwest flavor there. Rave was a 2nd round guy but for some reason made a swing change and swung and missed all spring. Coop will have a 15 year career as a backup catcher. Milas may be the most athletic catcher in the draft but had an awful spring. Mass is my guy.
  13. Hopefully the one that signs is Tyler Callihan. That dude can hit.
  14. He's a typical projectable high school right hander. Hopefully he develops better than Spencer Adams.
  15. Vaughn isn't a disaster like last years first round pick but still uninspired and safe.
  16. The guy I'm most interested to see where he goes is Michael Massey. He's a 2nd round talent with off the charts makeup but has a back injury that teams are obviously dinging him for. We've seen what back injuries can do to players (Joe Crede, Brent Morel) but if there's a kid to take a chance on it's Mass.
  17. There are some interesting colege arms on the board (Miller,Cronin, Song) but it would be damn hard to pass on Tyler Callihan if he'd sign for 3rd round money.
  18. There will be 1,200 players drafted. Going 6th overall is not "slipping".
  19. The perception is he's not a ballplayerTM .
  20. If the tools translate to the next level it doesn't matter if they're playing against 10 year olds or 50 year olds.
  21. I illistrated that point in my previous post.
  22. The Indians use algorithms to select their players which is why they draft young players. Those algorithms ding players for age. The White Sox do not use algorithms.
  23. If they believe in his tools and think they will translate to the next level it doesn't matter how old he is in high school.
