  1. The Rays and Rangers just pulled off a minor leaguer for minor leaguer trade. God forbid maybe the Sox can do some in house scouting and actually do something creative like this. I understand that's asking way too much from this FO but hey a guy can dream. BTW- that was a fantastic trade for the Rangers.
  2. They can always fill the team with all the employees sons, daughters, nieces and nephews they draft.
  3. Trade Colome and Bummer. Relievers are way to volatile and unless you have one of maybe a handful of guys (neither one qualifies) they can not be counted on in the near future let alone the long term. If the Sox can get a starter or everyday player absolutely do it. Rebuilding a bullpen is a yearly activity.
  4. I do. Once a player makes it to the big leagues the propect label goes away. That's the whole point of the exercise. To make it to the big leagues. If they play 1 game or 1000 games they will always be a big leaguer.
  5. Dalquist has the highest ceiling of any pitcher in their minor league system. When he gets his man muscles and his stuff catches up to his pitchability he's going to be a top of the rotation guy. He has a chance to be a freakin dude.
  6. You're gonna have to learn your clichés. You're gonna have to study them, you're gonna have to know them. They're your friends. Write this down: "We gotta play it one day at a time."
  7. Before McCann is traded. Good lord did I really word it that poorly?
  8. He's not going to be close to an elite base stealer. He's at a 69% success rate in the low minors. Wait until he gets to the big leagues where pitchers actually care about holding runners close and a catcher can consistently put throws on the bag. He'll steal some on the pitchers who get lazy but he won't get that bag when everyone in the ballpark knows he's running. That's what the elite base stealers do.
  9. I have a really bad feeling the reason Collins was brought up was so he can learn as much as possible about the big league game from James McCann before he's traded at the deadline. I obviously hope I'm wrong but I can't think of another logical reason for why he has been handled the way he has.
  10. 1. Luis Robert 2. Andrew Vaughn 3. Andrew Dalquist 4. Nick Madrigal 5. Micker Adolfo 6. Dane Dunning 7. Steele Walker 8. Matthew Thompson 9. Luis Basabe 10. Blake Rutherford Big leaguers are ineligible for my list.
  11. So I guess they assume 1 second to get out of the box so his home to first time was 3.87. Damn
  12. What's the exit velocity on a swing and miss?
  13. Perfect example of how OPS lies.
  14. That's twice AJ pointed out where a Cubs player didn't back up a play. A lazy team is a reflection of the manager.
  15. I sure hope so because this nickname will make me hate baseball.
  16. They finally announced the players for the UA All American game. A couple Chicago area guys will be there. SS Ed Howard (Mt Carmel) and RHP Ben Hernandez (De LaSalle). I'm surprised Wisconsin guy AJ Vukovich wasn't invited but other than that it's a great looking roster. https://www.baseballfactory.com/ua-baseball/all-america-game/
  17. I didn't mention Collins in my post, Big Fella. My post was about how god awful Danial Palka is at hitting a baseball.
  18. He's a 4 A hitter. Last year he hit some meaningless home runs in meaningless games. That was last year. This year they're not playing meaningless games and he's 1 for fucking 45. It's inconcievable that this bum is on a major league roster.
  19. Nah. Then these dopes may bring him up again to serve no purpose but make outs.
  20. He's one of only 3 #MLB prospects who has a 70+ fastball & 65+ breaking ball. Who are the others? Whitley, Gore and Mize?
