  1. Actually Vaughn fits Kenny's prototype. He loves 1B/middle of the order bats.
  2. I'd love to believe it but at this point I can't. If they're gonna take a HS guy over Vaughn I think it would have to be Jr.
  3. Eh. Rizzo loves taking injured pitchers so Priester is way too healthy for him. I have the Nats taking Kentucky lefty Zack Thompson.
  4. Or the Angels could just take him at #15 for slot. It's really hard to push a guy that far down the board. BTW- Priester attends Cary Grove HS. ?
  5. Could be. I have him going to the Angels. I have the Pirates grabbing Langeliers.
  6. Adam J. Morris@lonestarballApr 30 Way-too-early draft Prediction: Rangers get Illinois prep RHP Quinn Priester on an above-slot deal with their 2nd or 3rd pick. I don't know how to post a tweet so this is the best I can do. Pushing Priester down the board seems to be a popular theory with crackpot wannabes out there. It's just that easy!!!
  7. That's a pipe dream. With so many teams with multiple picks there is no chance they get Priester to 45.
  8. I know Vaughn has been a forgone conclusion for a while now but I like to pretend they will actually entertain other possibilities. For the 2nd round pick I'll go with Louisville SS Tyler Fitzgerald.
  9. Awesome thank you! Hard to believer he has a R/R 1B over a power switch hitting plus defensive catcher but ok. Man he is really high on Carroll too. I just didn't see it.
  10. Beer had swing and miss concerns and a complete lack of athleticism that Vaughn doesn't have. Teams were concerned Beer would be a DH only and may not be able to make the necessary adjustments needed as he advanced up the ladder. Vaughn has excellent feel to hit and though he is not terribly athletic there are few concerns that he could at least be an avg defensive first baseman.
  11. Law posted his top 50 draft guys. If someone can give me his top 10 and Priester it would be much appreciated.
  12. If Rutschman and Vaughn are gone and the Sox pass on Jr they would be the laughing stock of baseball. I'm confident there is someone in this dumbass organization that will step up and make the right decision.
  13. Josh Jung just destroyed a ball to dead center. He's heatin up.
  14. I'm not the least bit ashamed to admit it moved a little while watching the Jr video. God I hope the O's and Royals out dumb themselves and pass on him.
  15. So a slap dick second baseman wasn't the best use of the 4th pick in the country?!? The hell you say!!!!!
  16. Yep. Making it to the big leagues at 21 is not a far stretch. Baez and Lindor both debuted at that age. Gorman and Kelenic are on the path.
  17. Here's my top 10. Same players slightly different order. 1. Baltimore Adley Rutschman 2. Kansas City Bobby Witt Jr 3. Chicago WS Andrew Vaughn 4. Miami CJ Abrams 5. Detroit JJ Bleday 6. San Diego Riley Greene 7. Cincinnati Nick Lodolo 8. Texas Hunter Bishop 9. Atlanta Alek Manoah 10. San Francisco Bryson Stott
  18. I don't think timeline is going to influence anyone's pick at the top. Jr is a very polished player and will move quickly. He'll be in the big leagues in 2 years. Catchers take time so Rutschman will be around the same. Vaughn may (may) move a little faster but not enough for it to matter much. I don't see how the Royals pass on the 2nd best player in the draft for someone who will get there a short time sooner.
  19. If he breaks when they make him a starter. He's having success as a reliever. I think they should leave him there. He's been ass two of the last three years. That's a trend I don't think they should continue.
  20. If he breaks again he may never be fixed. They should leave him where he has the best chance for success.
  21. Why? Jr's not gonna be far behind if behind at all Rutschman and Vaughn to the big leagues. He'll get there in a couple years.
