Blah blah fuckin lawyer talk bullshit.
Rick, your record as GM is 419-553 (.431). You've never finished higher than 4th in the absolute worst division in baseball. You should to be fired.
Don't do a damn thing. Play out Hahn's 7th straight losing season as GM and hope to god the couple players worth developing actually develop. Then hope they fall ass backwards into an impact acquisition next off season.
Beer really struggled in the summers using a wood bat. Teams are putting a much bigger emphasis on summer leagues so that along with being a non athlete really hurt him.
I hope to god they're not eliminating high schoolers again. If Jr is there he's the guy. Greene and Abrams should be under serious consideration too. It's long past time to stop taking the safe guy and take the guy with the highest ceiling who has a chance to make the biggest impact.
Lodolo was ok for the first time out. Stinson was pretty good. It would be real nice if one or both of those big lefties step up and make themselves possibilities at #3.
Kiley. That dude's clueless. I'm not ready to get on board for the 6'0" right hander. There will always be freaks in baseball. Grienke, Stroman, Lincecum but I wouldn't want to be in the business of hoping for a freak. If I'm gonna miss on a guy I'm gonna miss big.
It's a thing for a lot of teams. Amateur scouting is about projection. It's not about what they are now it's about what they're going to be. Fulmer had a bad frame, bad delivery and bad command. I have no idea how they thought he was going to get better. Buehler had projection. He had ceiling. He wasn't close to being a finished product. Fulmer went backwards and Buehler went thru the roof. That's projection scouting.
If you're willing to pay D1baseball.com has the best college baseball content including up to the minute scores and links to boxscores. They do a tremendous job.
Berger never had the first step quickness to be a major league third baseman and these injuries were the final nails in that coffin. From watching that video it's very encouraging to see him post up on that front foot. Maybe there's some hope that he can still provide some value as a DH.
