Really like this Kid.

Yes which is why I don't think he's looking to sell his shares of the White Sox I think he's looking to sell the minority shares of the White Sox. He wants one minority owner/group to come in and help him finance the new stadium. If the state won't help pay for the stadium he'll find someone else who will.

They did interview a number of people last time and are interviewing a lot of people this time but the people doing the interviewing this time is very different and unlike last time they are narrowing the list down to 4-5 candidates and doing a second round of interviews with others joining the interviews. They have a much better chance of hiring the right guy this time than they did the last time.

Big day for Montgomery. He's looking good and the back doesn't seem to be bothering him. It's a Festivus miracle!

I'm not writing off Vargas but he does have to make some serious changes to his swing/approach. The PULL THE BALL IN THE AIR swing/approach simply doesn't work. His hands are too close to his body and he has a steep entry w/an extreme uphill path. There's just no room for error with that stupid swing/approach. I hope they go back to basics with him because he does have bat speed and suddenness to go along with a great eye. I'd move his hands away from his body, shorten and flatten his swing and concentrate on barreling the baseball and hitting line drives. If he does that he has a chance to be a good hitter but if he continues with the PULL THE BALL IN THE AIR thing he's done.

This is an important fall for Montgomery. Not for his slash line but for his love of playing baseball. He didn't have a lot of fun playing baseball this year and hopefully he can find that love again at a place where he has had fun and some success before and the slash line will follow. I think they really want him to be the Opening Day SS and showing he's ready by having fun in the AZL will help to make that happen.

Last time Jeremy Haber was part of the interview team. This time Jim Thome is part of the team. That's about as big of an upgrade as they could get. -
How can they even catch Minn in 3-5 years?

MOntgomery was dealing with an off the field issue for most of the season. He's gonna be fine. -
There was no reason to give him an off season program at that time because it would be taught to him at Instructs which are going on right now.

I saw him in HS and thought he was a hitter. It's crazy to see how good of a pitcher he's become. I would be surprised if Crochet is traded to the Braves. I think/hope other teams will offer a better package than what the Braves could offer.
