  1. This is another guy who can make a big jump this spring. He has a great body w/plus athleticism and he can really move. He has good bat speed and I absolutely love his swing. He still has to show he can consistently drive the baseball and that he can stay on the dirt. If he does that he's easily in the first round conversation.
  2. I agree. I don't think they're nearly as worried about this as others. If it were someone like Giolito or Kopech I'm sure they would be a little more panicked but Cease is a different cat. They know what a hard worker he is and how disciplined he is in his preperation. They know no matter what happens he's going to be mentally and physically ready for the season and will perform at a high level the same as he always has.
  3. No idea but they have that new big brained guy in the FO. I'm hoping he can come up with a creative way to turn all that deferred money into a new contract.
  4. I'd bet there's something Bannister doesn't like about him.
  5. The 69th pick was worth $1,074,100 last year. I hope they bring back Hendriks now.
  6. Fletcher is a fine player and this likely means no more Gavin Sheets so it's a fantastic trade.
  7. I'm with you on Bonemer. He's super interesting. He could easily move up into the top 10 with a big spring. Too bad he's not going to the super 60 this weekend.
  8. Come draft time I think that list will be flipped on it's ear. So many of those players have question marks in their game I think guys are going to pop up and drop out much more than usual. Did you see your guy Konnor Griffin was 94-97 in an intrasquad? Is he a bat or an arm?
  9. LOL. I guess he's technically correct because none of the players involved in the Burnes trade would be part of a Cease trade BUT if Elias wasn't willing to give up any of his high end players before the Burnes trade he's sure as hell not going to give them up now.
  10. Same group it's been. This changes nothing. The O's have been out for a while.
  11. I still think he gets traded before the start of the season.
  12. Getz had a group of three players he targeted from the O's. He wanted two of them. The O's were only willing to give up one of them. A deal was never going to happen because they were too far away. Ortiz was not one of the three players.
  13. Curiel coming out of the gates hot. Kid's got an absolutely gorgeous swing.
  14. Frank (and countless other great hitters) didn't try to pound the ball into the ground and he didn't manufacture a swing to HIT THE BALL IN THE AIR. He didn't collapse his backside or try to catch the ball out front. He hit the bottom of the baseball and backspun (backspinned?) it in the air. It's becoming a lost art for some reason because it's "easier" for these idiots to teach an artificial swing to HIT THE BALL IN THE AIR! and it's ruining a generation of hitters.
  15. Here's another one of my all time favorite videos. Dante Bichette talking about pulling the ball in the air. "You might hit for more power but you're not going to be a good hitter."
  16. Great hitters like Frank have to speak up more about what the charlatans on twitter are teaching kids. Why so many are listening to people who were backups on their HS teams is astounding. They're ruining an entire generation of hitters.
  17. Colson didn't have the luck of the draw this year. His name got stuck towards the bottom of the hat.
  18. The Rangers traded for a lot of pitching last year I'd be very surprised if they traded for another high end pitcher.
  19. A salary cap so dickbag owners can make even more money but people will be momentarily entertained during the off season. Brilliant!
  20. Did you know who Justin Topa was before last season? These relievers pop up out of no where and then they're gone just as quickly. They'll replace him with someone else no one has ever heard of.
