Who knows why Boras does what he does. It likely came from the O's side but you can never rule out Boras trying to muck things up.
-
The Orioles or maybe it was Boras.
-
Well that doesn't seem to be the case this time. I'm told it's an unaccurate report and it came from the O's side.
-
I hope the O's are at least buying Heyman a steak dinner boom for all the work he's doing for them.
-
No kidding.
-
Puig makes absolutely zero sense and if they sign Gallo my head might explode.
-
and not bothering to call him to see if they could overslot him is unconscionable.
-
Correct

We'll see how the rest of the off season plays out but things can get a little dicey for both especially if Snell ends up on a rival. Another 4th place season for the Yanks and Cashman won't have to worry about trading away Jones because he will be out of a job.
-
I never saw the O's and Sox matching up on a trade and I still don't. The Sox want two high impact players and the O's want to deal from their mid-tier depth and I don't see either budging from those positions. The Sox best options are the Yankees or Dodgers and if neither of them step up now (i think one will) the Sox will wait until the deadline. Getz has drawn a line in the sand and he's not going to take what he considers a light return.
-
I don;t know what they thought about him and yes he's a target but I don't think he's being offered in this deal.
-
That's why I never got in. I never thought Elias would offer the type of players the Sox are looking for and I have yet to hear anything to make me think otherwise.
-
Is he Marcus Semien? Is he a high impact player on a championship team? I don't think he is. He's a good player. Solid avg but I don't think that's the type of player they should be targeting in this trade. They need to get two high ceiling/high impact players they can build around and I don't think Westberg is that type of player.

Sooooooo Caleb Williams still hasn't declared for the draft. It's hard to think this is anything but bad for the Bears. -
It's not unrealistic. I still think it's between the Yanks and Dodgers. Don't believe their media mouthpieces. They're both under a ton of pressure to win this year. One of them will step up and make the deal happen.
-
I don't think you can ever count the Dodgers as being out.
-
The Dodgers weren't willing to add a high end pitcher along with Busch. Maybe now that Busch is off the table they can offer something that looks a little different.
-
I still think a team steps up but if not he's willing to take that chance.
-
I think Cease is the Opening Day starter before Getz takes a light return.
-
Another team wants a pitcher to pitch. Holy jumping up and down when is this madness going to end!

The Orioles are going to arb with 5 players. One of the players they will be fighting over $75k. That really is a nickel and dime organization. -
Heavens to betsy they want a pitcher to pitch. Goodness gracious whats next. They're gonna want hitters to hit. Fielders to field. Oh the humanity when is the madness going to stop!
-
I know this isn't going out on a limb but holy s%*# that deal is going to be a complete disaster for the Yankees.
