  1. Yes, it will be nice not seeing Yolmer, Cordell, and Jay in our lineup. Hopefully, we will never have to see any of them again after this year.
  2. Ripping on Kermit the Clown is a bit ridiculous when we have the Grand Pun-Master B as one of our announcers.
  3. Bad pitch when you can get him out with a pitch outside the zone.
  4. In response to Dick Allen, I seem to remember the Sox wanting Shields quickly to improve their rotation. Wasn’t Erik Johnson in the rotation at the time? Also, the Padres initially requested Tim Anderson but settled for Tatis Jr. I guess the trade would have been disastrous whichever way they went. https://www.sbnation.com/2016/6/4/11858938/james-shields-trade-white-sox-padres “The Padres receive right-handed pitcher Erik Johnson and infielder Fernando Tatis Jr. in exchange for Shields and cash in return. Chicago refused to part with shortstop Tim Anderson, their top prospect, per Jon Heyman. The White Sox entered Saturday at 29-26, 1½ games out of first place in the American League Central, though they are just 2-8 in their last 10 games.”
  5. Definitely would rather have Leury. He’s a super utility guy and can hit. Yolmer can only play the infield and can’t hit for shit.
  6. You said if much better than I could. Fantastic post.
  7. Greg, are you dense? Did you not just gloss over two posts in which Chicago White Sox and I explained why Machado is worth more than Abreu? Go back and read the posts before you utter more BS.
  8. I’m guessing he wasn’t a Sox fan back when that trade actually happened. ?
  9. The Yankees got Allstar Gleybor Torres for the next six years for three months of wife beater Aroldis Chapman. You act like this is impossible. You are wrong...
  10. Probably not a good counterpoint when two of the worst starters in the MLB are in the same team. Just pouring salt on the open wound. ??
  11. What a stupid response. How did we get Moncada and Kopech? How did we get Eloy and Cease? How did we get Giolito? Where did Leury come from? Do you even know? Honestly, your post isn’t good enough to wipe my ass with.
  12. He has to be the worst but I still give him more time. If he can be good for 5 innings before he falls apart, he’s still better than your average reliever.
  13. Yep, most relievers are fickle from year to year but the top guys, and I include Colome in that group, are pretty good from year to year cuz they have top quality stuff. But look no further than Herrera to see how up and down relievers can be. He could very well be a stud next year.
