Why, thank you. The sad thing is that Yolmer's replacement doesn't appear to be able to OPS over .700 in the minors. We may not be rid of him after this season.
It is amazing how much they fluff him. I don't get it. Stone is always giving him props and Benetti is always doing stupid interviews with him. He stinks. Maybe they are just treating him as the team mascot.
It's frustrating. I'm sure Cooper is working on his backup offerings but when he is on with his two best pitches, he can dominate. But that won't be consistent until he fixes his change.
I don't need any support on my bandwagon, lol. But honestly though, how about two GM's? One who makes trades and signs home-grown talent to extensions (Rick) and another GM who signs free agents (anyone else)?
I will say this... I think Lopez's awful start was not a good representation of his talent and the Eaton trade is looking to be the heist that we all thought it was when it went down. If Dunning comes back strong from TJ, 3 starters for one good outfielder will be amazing. Rick did a great job on that one.
The Twins grab CJ Cron for one year and $4.8 million dollars and he puts up a .900+ OPS. Rick trades for Alonso and pays him $9 million dollars and he can barely OPS above .600.
A monkey throwing darts at a dart board would be a better chooser of talent than Rick.
