  1. Alonso is trash. Nice one pitch groundout.
  2. He is absolutely nothing but a first round pick. Dude has a .487 OPS through 100 at bats in Double AA and hasn’t been truly impressive at any point so far. Hahn dumped Robertson’s salary so he could add trash like Alonso and Jay. He is just a terrible GM.
  3. Only once his advanced metrics say he sucks.
  4. After Rick is done massaging Reinsdorf's back, he just takes his pay cut out of Jerry's wallet.
  5. I'm being sarcastic. I don't care what they look like. The guy sucks. I would have rather seen Hahn donate his $9 million dollar salary to White Sox charities.
  6. Are Alonso's advanced metrics still looking good?
  7. https://www.yahoo.com/sports/former-white-sox-pitcher-bobby-002507984.html
  8. I also need the updated advanced metrics that say Alonso has been good...
  9. Focus on catcher first, if that's McCann after he proves himself, so be it. Collins can always play 1B/DH. I'd probably see what mediocre return you could get for Abreu. You can always re-sign him when he becomes a free agent. Alonso is just another garbage Hahn acquisition like Jon Jay. Hilarious how he wasted $13 million trying to lure a player who signed elsewhere. Epic. If Alonso gets enough plate appearances that his option actually vests, this front office is even worse than I currently think.
  10. Eh, he’s a waste of ABs at this point. Let McCann see what he can do with the majority of them and use Castillo as the backup catcher.
  11. I noticed this as well and would have no problem with the Sox cutting ties with Alonso and replacing him with Palka. But I don’t think any team is going to take in Alonso’s salary.
  12. Troll post? Why would the Sox trade a guy (Robert) who could be as good or better than both Soto or Robles... but also include Kopech and Hansen for Soto?
  13. Well, he was a second round pick and had some success with the bat (at least in 2017). He is not exactly old yet. If he could be a decent start catcher, that would save the Sox all the money they would have to throw at an older Yasmani Grandal in the offseason so they could spend it elsewhere.
  14. His style of play does not lend itself to a player staying healthy. He is also 30 and his speed will begin to decline which will affect his overall game.
  15. They are fine for a player that doesn’t get injured for the majority of entire seasons. For Adam Eaton it’s like burning money just like with Rodon and Nate Jones.
  16. That wasn’t the point. The quick fall from a hot streak was.
  17. He’s 30 and he’s constantly injured. He is also owed $8.5 million this year with $9.5 and $10.5 million dollar team options in 2020 and 2021. No thanks.
  18. That would be the best course of action.
  19. Benetti doesn’t use use a gimmicky radio/commercial voice? Listen to his homerun calls.
