You are correct. Ebron is only 26 and has upside. Graham is washed up. And I guess the answer is, Pace valued Graham at $9 million guaranteed over Ebron at $12 million, and that’s without knowing the guaranteed portion of Ebron’s deal. Pace is awful.

GM Ryan Pace has an infatuation with free-agent tight ends, though none of them have ever worked out for him, dating back to Dion Sims and Trey Burton. Graham was released by the Packers last week and looks washed as he heads into his age-34 season. Graham did very little with Aaron Rodgers, so we're not going to hold our breath with him in Chicago where he'll play with Mitchell Trubisky or possibly Nick Foles or Andy Dalton, who have been linked to the Bears in trade rumors. $10 million guaranteed for Dion Sims. $18 million guaranteed for Trey Burton. Wasted a 2nd round pick on Adam Shaheen. $9 million guaranteed for Jimmy Graham. Simply amazing.

Is it really “institutional racism”? Is the Sox “clubhouse culture” no longer racist because the majority of players on the team are now from Latin America instead of being a majority of white players? How is the “clubhouse culture” less racist now that Latin Americans are creating and owning this culture as opposed to white players? Wouldn’t it still be racist then, but in favor of Latin “clubhouse culture” as opposed to white “clubhouse culture”? It seems to me that it’s simply more of a numbers game and the majority of one race being on the team is likely the group that creates and owns the “clubhouse culture” of the team, moreso than simply resorting to blaming racism for everything. I watched this video and most of it sounded like rookie hazing by veterans. It didn’t sound all race-related. And I bet it’s pretty safe to assume that the older white veterans were hazing the young white rookies as well.

Agreed on all of the above. This is why many people wanted to see the Sox add another righty bench bat who could play RF and actually hit lefties. Engel doesn’t cut it.

I think Hahn is dreaming when he expects a future RF to come from the farm. I don’t think any of them (Adolfo, Rutherford, Gonzalez) pan out as Hahn expects. Basabe will make it as a fourth outfielder. I really hope they sign Colas.
