One season removed from a very good year. Lefty bat with good OBP. He’s no star like Moncada but maybe Yoan would help him work out and add 5 to 10 dingers to his game. ???
How is acquiring an unproductive but cheaper outfielder a measurably better move than acquiring a more expensive outfielder that actually produces? I guess we would have to look at value per WAR to truly prove or disapprove each other.
You can keep saying this but it isn’t true. I do know that the majority did not want a sub-1 WAR right fielder but that’s what we got.
By the way, a lot of good posts that prove someone else’s point wrong start with “Whatever dude” so I applaud you.
McCarver: “How do these things happen? Unbelievable.” (Podesdnik’s walkoff HR)
Don’t forget the ALDS with Chris Bergman that year...
”OHHH... he gets him to go.” (El Duque striking out the side and finishing with Johnny Damon with the bases loaded)
“The Red Sox dream to repeat is over...” (White Sox sweep Red Sox)
I thinks it’s pretty insincere to not potentially be excited about a free agent outfielder who was:
2× All-Star (2016, 2017)
Gold Glove Award (2017)
Silver Slugger Award (2017)
To show Sox fans that they are trying, so we aren’t all disappointed when they ultimately fail to sign any of the top free agent starting pitchers available.
I guess I am excited at the potential to add Price and another lefty bat like Benintendi who provides some more if that sweet juicy OBP nectar that we need. ?
