  1. It would be the Sox FO trying to get cute when they have no need to. One of Ruschtman, Witt, or Vaughn will be there at 3. Pretty simple stuff in my mind.
  2. A lot of miles on Herrera's arm. His glory days are in the rearview mirror. I would shut him down for the rest of the season and hope that he can contribute something next year with a well rested arm.
  3. Ryan LaMarre jersey. What is the street value on that. Maybe ten bucks lol?
  4. My speculation is that there is major division in the Sox draft room right now. Hostetler/Hahn want to continue the trend of college bats and want Vaughn. KW is drooling at Abrams elite speed and wants him.
  5. The Sox were linked to Singer but I do not remember KW's name coming up consistently like it has this year with Abrams.
  6. LMAO. If Adley and Witt go 1 and 2 then the Sox will take Abrams. From all reports KW is absolutely in love with Abrams and KW probably has the final call.
  7. Here are the #3 picks in the mlb draft from the last 15 years 2018=Alec Bohm- Third basemen-College 2017-Mackenzie Gore-Pitcher-High School 2016-Ian Anderson-Pitcher-High School 2015-Brendan Rodgers-SS-High School 2014-Carlos Rodon-P-College 2013-Jon Gray-Pitcher-College 2012-Mike Zunino-Catcher-College 2011-Trevor Bauer-Pitcher-UCLA 2010-Manny Machado-SS-High School 2009-Donovan Tate-OF- High School 2008-Eric Hosmer-1B-College 2007 -Josh Vitters-3rd-High School 2006-Evan Longoria-3rd-College 2005-Jeff Clement-C- College 2004-Phil Humber-P-College As you could predict the results are a mixed bag. Still too early to judge the 2015-2018 picks. 8 college guys, 7 high school guys. The Sox could draft the next Machado or Longoria or they could end up with a Josh Vitters or Phil Humber.
  8. Keep KW away from the draft room! He has already ruined enough Sox drafts!
  9. Do we have any evidence that Machado actually asked the Sox to trade for Alonso and sign Jay?
  10. Vaughn's college numbers are almost as good as The Big Hurt's and Kris Bryant. The dude has a can't miss bat. I could see the Sox trading Abrams down the line if he puts up those type of numbers in A+. He could be a nice starting piece in a trade for a TOR arm.
  11. We are arguing in circles. My main point is that the Sox current braintrust is terrible at evaluating and developing amateur talent. It is time for new blood. This rebuild is gonna fail if they don't start hitting big on some of these draft picks.
  12. I'm not against taking high schoolers in the first round. I wanted Kelenic over Madrigal last year. The results aren't more positive because KW, Hahn, Hostetler, and Getz are terrible at identifying and developing amateur talent.
  13. Again, please name one high school player taken in the first 2 rounds by the KW/Hahn regime that has been developed into a productive major leaguer.
  14. Impressive list. Let's keep going. 2012- Courtney Hawkins-1st and Keon Barnum second round 2011-Keenyn Walker-second round Again, we better hope that Abrams is so talented that he can develop into a stud without any help from within the Sox organization. The KennyHahna regime has no idea on how to scout, draft, and develop high school talent.
  15. The question that keeps popping up in my head is whether or not Abrams is talented enough to overcome the White Sox's extremely questionable minor league development department. Can anyone name the last high school position prospect that the KW/Hahn regime has developed? (And no, Tim Anderson doesn't count)
  16. Jeez dude. I was talking about Hampton. KW loves his football players and the White Sox draft history under him proves that.
  17. Unfortuntaely it appears that Rutherford is on the Trey M and Spencer Adams path.
  18. Jimmy L has shown flashes but he still needs more seasoning. Hopefully he can make the rotation out of Spring training next year and stick there.
  19. How many football players have the Cubs and Astros drafted recently?
  20. Beckham never adjusted at all. Anderson came out like gangbusters but then regressed big time so yes it did take him a 1000 thousand or so at bats to "adjust".
  21. I would be on board with Cole or Bumgardner but both guys are pipedreams. What is biggest contract that JR has ever given a pitcher? Was it the Danks extension?
  22. What about Anderson's sophomore year? Look at Moncada and Eloy. Sox prospects just do not come right away and succeed and then continue to dominate. I hope Luis Robert turns into an Acuna or Gleyber Torres but I wouldn't bet on it. Kid is gonna need a full season or two of seasoning.
  23. I don't think Robert will be up this year. Most likely late April 2020. However, Robert is a Sox prospect, so he will likely require a 1000 at bats or so in the Show to '"adjust". He probably needs to be up after the All Star break this year if the Sox are hoping to compete in 2020.
