  1. Din't we hear this same line last year with Madrigal?
  2. We will most definitely know that KW is back in charge of the White Sox drafting if the Sox select Abrams and this Hampton kid. Kenny loves those football players..
  3. Good God. Is this really true?
  4. Ain't much else you can do but embrace it at this point. As you state, JR and company don't seem inclined to open up the wallet. We need Moncada, Eloy, Anderson, and Robert to turn into guys like Bregman, Altuve, Springer, Baez, Bryant, and it needs to happen soon!
  5. Zach Wheeler feels like a Yu Darvish situation waiting to happen.
  6. I don't recall the mock drafts and I sure hope the Sox aren't using them to influence their drafting.
  7. Kelenic was drafted 6. Wouldn't have been a stretch at all to take him at #4.
  8. How would you feel about the Sox drafting Kelenic or Gorman over Madrigal?
  9. Jack gets it. The Sox minors needs a ton of reinforcements. Embrace the tank and stock the farm!
  10. Big Nicky was promoted to second in command of the Sox scouting in 2011. He is not fresh blood and a big reason why this rebuild is stuck in the mud.
  11. Whit Merrifield was a ninth round pick. Big difference comparing him with Madrigal.
  12. I realize those are guesses, but it was in no way obvious that the Twins would be the best team in baseball on Memorial Day. Dude is saying that you can't have a worthwhile opinion on baseball if you didn't see this coming and that is ridiculous. Twins may win the Central but they are gonna get destroyed by the Big Boys of the AL East like they have for the past 25 seasons.
  13. Dude, you must not respect any of the Fangraphs writers or dudes on MLB TV cause no one thought this Twins team would be this good so far in 2019.
  14. How is this year 7 of the Sox rebuild? The Sale Trade kicked off the official rebuild and that was done prior to the 17 season. The Sox were going for it prior to 17 so you can't include those seasons. Shark trade? Frazier trade? Shields trade= Going for it. Houston started their rebuild in 2010 and made the playoffs in 2015. They punted away 5 full seasons before they made the playoffs. The Cubs punted away 3 full seasons before their rebuild bore fruit. If the Sox were on that same trajectory than we should expect a deep deep playoff run in 2020.
  15. Bumgardner scares me a bit. For one, there are a lot of miles on that arm. Secondly, he has never pitched in the AL before. However, you have to take some risks in a rebuild to succeed so he might be worth it. What do you think his cost will be? I doubt the Sox even enter negotiations if we are looking at a contract north of 100 million.
  16. This past weekend. First time I actually saw them play. Yoan Moncada is the only guy on the Sox who would be starting for the Twinkies right now.
  17. The part about the Twins isn't really true. They had the number one ranked farm system in 2014 and have just started seeing major gains recently. Their rebuild has been a slow burn. You hit the nail on the head with your last sentence though. The Sox got no vision and their record in evaluating talent speaks for itself.
  18. Jesus man. Wash your mouth out with some soap. No one is excited about getting destroyed by the Twins. The Twins suddenly look like a behemoth and force to be reckoned with. It isn't okay to be concerned about them at all? Tanking for multiple more years seems like the only option since it doesn't appear that JR is gonna open the wallet anytime soon.
  19. U forgot about Berrios, Polanco, Sano, and Rosario. U also forgot about the Twins firing their Front office and manager. Twins fans were also very patient as they have been rebuilding since 2011. If the Sox follow their timeline then we are in store for another 4 years of terrible baseball.
  20. Sox ain't competing for anything anytime soon. Kuechel makes a ton more sense for a team like the Twins.
  21. You might be on to something here. Is it just a coincidence that JR finally decided to tank once he knew that attendance didn't matter much to his bottom line?
  22. 2021 seems realistic only if JR opens up the wallet. That will be the full first year for guys like Madrigal and Robert. First full year back from TJ for Kopech and Rodon.
  23. Love the excuses. If the Sox players are that intimidated by playing in front of a sold out park in Minnesota then it is time to strip the roster and get new players. Also, any Sox fan with half a brain should be concerned about Minnesota suddenly looking very good. Those dudes do play in our division after all. Will it be okay to b**** if they are still kicking our asses this time next year?
