  1. And who has been responsible for the Sox's failures over the past decade plus?
  2. It's a tank year. Most of the roster is going to be garbage when you don't care about winning. Cubs and Astros fans had to sit through garbage like today for years. They got their pot of gold eventually. Let's hope the Sox do the same!
  3. Leave him out there and let him take it on the chin. This whole season is basically just Spring Training for the Sox anyways.
  4. It ain't stopping anytime soon unfortunately. There is still plenty of tank left in the engine. 100 losses again this year is very very likely.
  5. Nice to see Moncada playing well the first 10 games of the season. He is a major piece of the rebuild and needs to turn into a Bregman or Baez type player in order for this rebuild to work.
  6. This team still has so many holes to fill. They have absolute black holes at Catcher, Second Base, Center Field, DH, and Right Field. They have one somewhat reliable guy in the starting rotation. The only reliable guys in the bullpen are veterans like Colome and Herrera.
  7. Nah. Let the kids play and take your 100 losses like a man. Guys like Stephens or Banuelos should be starting over Santana.
  8. Isn't tanking fun? We better get used to it. This Sox team still has other 2-3 years of tank left in them.
  9. Signing a guy like Morton makes little sense for a tanking team.
  10. Hard pass on Bumgardner in my opinion. Dude's best days are in his rearview mirror. He is no longer a workhorse and has never pitched in the AL. Cole is a pipedream. The day JR gives a pitcher a 100 million dollar contract is the same day that I end up on a beach in Mexico drinking skinny margaritas with Kate Upton.
  11. This kid has more value than any player in the White Sox organization. How can anyone have faith in this rebuild with Rick Hahn in charge?
  12. Yep. It isn't going to be a guy in the Cole or Bumgardner tier though. I actually think they will add two guys. A lefty and a righty. Someone like Wacha/Wheeler as a righty and someone like Matt Moore/Alex Wood as a lefty.
  13. Let's just hope that Fulmer can salvage his career and turn into a plus reliever for the next few years. Also, it turns out that the Non-White Sox scouts were right on when they said that Fulmer's ceiling was a high leverage bullpen guy. The Sox thought they were smarter than everyone else in this regard and it bite them in the ass big time. The same thing is playing out with Zach Collins right now. No one outside the Sox organization believes the kid will stick at catcher. Let's just hope that Collins bat is good enough to play at first or DH.
  14. Hope so. Yolmer is not in the Sox long terms plans. Let the kids play..
  15. Rodon is never going to be the staff ace on a legit World Series contender. He just isn't consistent enough. Rodon is fine as a number 4 or number 5 guy. He ain't ever gonna turn into a Snell of Kershaw though.
  16. The rest of the roster is so bad that those guys can still have good years and the Sox still get a top 3 pick.
  17. I understand where you are coming from, but the playoffs ain't happening this year. The Sox got no pitching. Can't win games without good pitching. I'm just focusing on guys like Anderson, Moncada, and Jimenez. They are the only guys in the starting lineup who should be on the team two years from now.
  18. That's the flipside to tanking. People lose interest when a team is terrible for years on end. There is no guarantee that this rebuild works and the fanbase will continue to dwindle and attendance will mirror Tampa Bay...
  19. Most of the players probably care if they win or lose. The problem is that most of the players on the Sox suck. Therefore, the team is gonna lose a lot even if the players are trying hard to win. The point of losing 100 plus games this year is to get a higher first round pick. Theoretically, it should be harder to screw up a top 3 pick versus the number 8 pick.
  20. Have you been sleeping or extremely intoxicated for the past decade? Teams have been losing on purpose in order to rebuild in all the major sports for quite some time now. It's not a joke and people still watch bad bad teams cause they simply want something to do.
  21. It's called tanking. Houston lost 100 games 3 years straight. Wins and losses don't matter this year and won't anytime soon. The only thing that matters is letting the yound kids develop and high draft picks.
  22. This is what a tanking baseball team looks like!!!!! Better get used to it cause we still got 2-3 more years of it most likely.
  23. This is hyperbole. Rodon is fine as a #4 or #5 starter. The problem lies in thinking that he is or will ever be a top of the rotation arm.
