  1. We have had very few of these this year. I am trying to be grateful I haven't had this feeling very often lately.

I agree with you. It is not happening soon...but, he is definitely in the future plans IMO.
  3. I love the combo of speed and power. Hard to beat those teams that have many ways to beat you.
  4. He is much less annoying when he hits home runs.?
  5. Bleacher Report said "effectively done" for 2020.
  6. Bummer moved to the 45 day DL. Done for 2020. This is gigantic loss for our 2020 hopes. The bullpen will need some divine intervention.
  7. Our starting pitching woes are primarily from the #5 starter IMO. Doesn't play much of a role in playoff baseball. Two real good starters are the minimum requirement...and we have that.
  8. Abreu was thought by many to be washed up. FO was openly criticized for resigning him. He came back 20 lbs lighter and transformed himself into his old hitting self. His defense has never been better going from not so good to very good. I don't recall a Sox player ever having such a bounce-back season.
  9. You can't be a starter or reliever at the major league level if you habitually walk the world. I feel it is very hard to keep any kind of rhythm when you work slowly like Lopez or Fulmer type guys.
  10. This could be the night he turns it all around...keep the faith!
  11. Lopez has talent. I wish his peers would convince him to try a faster pace with a more bulldog attitude. He comes off as afraid to throw the ball. It would be huge if he would turn into a competent #4 or #5.
  12. Having two quality catchers is a good thing not bad. I consider them co-starting catchers with the other one being DH/backup. The mistake was signing EE, not Grandal.
  13. Looks like he is in agony since he first took the mound.
  14. Apparently ... we shall find out. Burdi's performance the other night was disappointing since I had high hopes for him. Like others here I am hopeful that Rodon might find a home in a relief role.
  15. I appreciate the spirit of your post. He seems to take me on a nightly emotional adventure...but in the end, he has gotten the job done.
  16. I would rather resign McCann and have he and Grandal share catching and DH duties. McCann would cost less than EE so money shouldn't enter into the decision.
  17. Since Gio has his new pre-game warmup...he has been lights out!
  18. Probably a #3 but maybe Q like. Good control and works relatively fast. Doesn't walk the World and when stretched out can probably go 6 or 7 solid innings. I wish we had another of him.
  19. We are making the playoffs and I am one of those fans that think 3 primary starters are what is needed. We have two and Dunning gives me hope. This trade deadline was for me about getting an affordable front liner or...hold the line with what we have.
