    I feel the same way. Isn't it odd that a former major league player and I guy who has been around the game for over 30 years is thought to be so weak with game strategy and lineup construction.

    So much good stuff that you are under utilizing someone no matter how you do the lineup. Nice problem that even Ricky couldn't screw up.

    I prefer Grandal and the 3 catcher system for covering DH. JD would of course be a massive upgrade if that is the way RH goes.

    I have no doubt ...this is the plan. That is a full year away however.

    I agree that the RF is the priority but DH has been the pits. RH really needs both positions upgraded substantially.

    Free agency is not a good place to shop for stars. Draft and trade for stars...fill in weak areas with competent free agents.

    Wilbur and Hoyt would be something in todays game. Some of the big hitters would throw their backs out chasing their flutter balls.

    Easy to be willing to take risk when it isn't your money. Dombrowski get's short term gain with long term consequence. No thanks.

    I like your thinking. Saves about 5 million to be used in a more effective way than overpaying Sanchez.

    No thanks. When Dombrowski leaves a club there is nothing left. He is a win now guy but the Sox are being built for years of stability.

    Dombrowski would trade the future for the now. Don't get impatient now. Personally I think Hahn has done a great job building what looks like a powerhouse with just a few more key player added this offseason.

    Nice upgrades to RF & DH leaves boatloads of cash to upgrade pitching up and down the line.
