  1. No doubt about that...just think he is serviceable in that 4 or 5 inning role I described.
  2. I don't hate Dallas like so many here. He is capable of throwing 4 or 5 innings of keeping us in the game until help arrives.

Less baseball but the best team in the league goes to the WS. If the 59 Sox would have been knocked off by some bogus playoff team I would not have been happy. They could play a 13 game series between the two league winners if that would provide enough money for everyone.

I am drinking hot lemonade by the gallon to get over the worst cold ever. Should be in playing shape by tomorrow, however.
  6. A catcher who can shut down the running game is worth his weight in gold.
  7. McGuire was everything I hoped he would be. Really called a good game. Good catchers make me feel that we are in charge.
  8. He would make a good battery mate for Kopech. A young pitcher needs a steadying influence. McGuire has the ability to frame and make pitches look better than they are.
  9. I liked him in SP because he controlled the zone and throws strikes.
  10. Getting TA back is a big deal. He's the straw that stirs the drink.
  11. It shows that the Sox are one of the big boys. Lose Moncada and have the depth to not miss a beat with his replacement. I'm glad to see Burger get his chance.
  12. I was just telling my brother a few days ago that I thought Banks looked like the real deal. I like this move.
  13. That's how I voted and for the same reason.
  14. Under our current circumstances, he might be worth a try if we can't find a legit #4 type.
  15. Why did Adolfo wait this long to start looking this good? I don't think I can take another Tatis.
  16. I would be giving Lopez every chance to win the job.
  17. Managers today love having these multi-use guys that play everywhere. Joe Maddon liked doing that a lot. I think they keep everyone fresh and have a backup for all occasions. Not really my style but I suspect the 3 guys you mention along with Eloy might be used with some variety of positions. Good teams have these problems.
