Yes we need to win every year! EVERY YEAR! That's how I expect the Sox to play. Not that we should make stupid deals or go crazy when there is no shot, but to purposely lose goes against the ethics of the game. To be as bad as we can to get draft picks is cheating the game.
Now is the time for winning, it would be sweet to make the playoffs this seasons, and get players some experience in playoffs. We need an attitude of winning to start now. We can do it this season, we are 3 games back of the wild card, we are seeing some really good things, let's make a push!

As we finish draft day today, remember that Mark Buehrle was a 38th round pick.

Sweet, I was just looking up his stats again this morning and hoping they would move him up. So far he has been an ultimate contact hitter. Nice move Sox!

After listening to the Sox Talk Podcast, we have a special player here. Very selfless to give his time to make his teammates better at Cal by spending time and helping them. Love his old school demeanor, blue collar, grinding it out, straight up baseball player.

If the team doesn't have enough money to sign the high school guy, the team gets nothing out of that round. That's the risk you take drafting high school guys; they're often the best talent, but if you cannot afford to sign them then you get nothing.
So they can just keep bumping up the price? When does it end?

Why doesn't 2-4 just take slot money, are they greedy? Seems like taking poor picks when we could be drafting solid players is stupid.
