One thing is for sure, the Sox need a veteran pitcher that can take these young guys under his wing. Giolito, Cease, Kopech are young guys that will need someone to grow with. Who is that pitcher? King Felix.........?
I would trade Reynaldo Lopez and Zack Collins to Boston for Benintendi, then sign Kuechel and King Felix.

Once again, Encarnacion is a gamble for 10 million. He is going to decline, and this could be the year he does. Its not unreasonable to say that Collins if given over 550 plate appearances, will have better stats than Encarnacion this season.
-
Ok so what about Collins?
Encarnacion will be declining. Collins can put up declining Encarnacion numbers this season. Stick with Collins, McCann, and Grandal at DH. Or trade McCann or Collins(only for Benintendi.)
Encarnacion is going to be 37 and hit .244 last season with only 18 doubles. Collins can do that and maybe more.

He comes up short when he talks like the team is not trying to win games. Even a a week or so ago he was saying how they aren't going to compete this season . Have confidence in your team every year! Never sandbag to try to get better draft picks! Instill an attitude of winning!

2020 should have never been the season we Sox fans expected a truly competitive team.
You must mean "truly competitive" as a World Series Championship team. Yes, that we dont know, but I never count our chickens out, in baseball, you never eva know. No one thought the Nationals would win the World Series last season. Baseball is good.

Our pen really did a good job last season, so many guys stepped up. Hope they continue. I dont mind Fulmer going into long relief and spot start duty, by the way Happy Birthday Carson Fulmer!

Its important Herrera bounce back to his normal dominant self.

It says the Cardinals were originally nicknamed the Cardinals because of a female fan calling their red jerseys "a lovely shade of cardinal." So maybe another good alternate name would be the "baby blues."

Minnesota Only Children is woefully underrated
It would have been better if the Inverted the Twins to Quadruplets 4

By avoiding Chicago Steele has a shot at a quality MLB career. Mazcara gets a change of scenery which could help.
I was thinking too sometimes a change of scenery can help. He may rake at the Rate.

Mazara was hitting 20 HR in MLB at the same age Walker was doing freshman orientation in college
And has been doing so for 4 years straight. Problem is, Mazara is maxed out. And with over 100 k's and 30 bb per season he is maxed below average.

I must say, you have made me feel a little better looking at the splits. Still, Walker provides better average and k to bb. He still may learn to hit LHP. Good write up. Now lets go sign Castellanos!

But he didn't.....
Palka smoked in AAA last year, he could do it this season, Mazara numbers.

Note the word "feigned". If your #6 prospect yields Mazara what does that tell you about this organization?
I agree, Steele Walker was one of the best hitters in our farm system. I have him at #4 of the best hitters. #1 -Madrigal #2-Vaughn #3-Collins #4-Walker
Why gather good prospects and good hitters to trade them away for HR or nothing guys. I truly think Palka could put up the same numbers or better than Mazara.

Define raw. Like, he has raw butt or something?
Raw meaning he has great athleticism but has not developed into a ready MLB hitter just yet.
-
I'm going to predict Robert(when he is ready in my opinion next season) at .280avg .340obp 25HR 40 doubles 9 triples 150 KS to 50 bb

While this is true, not ever player is perfect. He has potentially 5 tools and he can always improve on his strikeout-to-walk ratio with MLB experience.
Let's see what he does in the spring.
-
His 129 ks to 28 walks shows he needs to learn patient at the plate.

1-Madrigal 2B
2-Benintendi CF
3-Moncada 3B
4-Jimimez LF
5-Abreu 1B
6-Mazara RF
7-Grandal C
8-Anderson SS
9-Collins DH
That lineup wins AL Central with of course most importantly good pitching and defense.

Robert still too raw, should come up next season. This season Eloy, Benintendi, Mazara....
DH is rotated with Collins, McCann, and Grandal.

Castellanos 58 doubles last season is 10th all time on the single season record for doubles.
