  1. Whatever the fanbase doesn't like, the Native New Yorker loves. I fully expect Reinsdorf to sign him.
  2. Before summoning security, a prospective employer would shake their head at Hahn and utter: "Shields for FTJR ?" And that's that.
  3. Don't worry LR will meet and surpass all our wildest expectations.
  4. They got DHs who can only play first base and outfielders who can't hit... Reinsdorf sat on his wallet and did nothing when Eloy went down. Now, he'll see this as justification to do nothing and really double-down. TLR no longer a push-button manager...YIKES ! FUHGEDDABOUDIT !!
  5. It dips into ownership's profit margin. These owners are not sportsmen. They are business men who figured out a way to make money owning sports teams They revere Reinsdorf for that. The native New Yorker doesn't give a damn about Chicago's fanbase except those that enrich him. The Sox may not be stuck with the family too much longer but lordy I feel for Bulls fans.
  6. Hero Ball Offense The word is out on Moncada. Pitch him low and away.
  7. He's friggin hurt and that dufus FO is in denial just like they were about Eloy being a servicable outfielder.
  8. Horrible execution. World Series contender? I don't think so.
  9. These men aren't sportsmen. They make money owning sports teams. Also helps when you can pay pennies on the dollar for two major market teams. That will never happen again.
  10. He may be a 28 year old version of Nelson Cruz. Be still my beating heart !!
  11. I'm almost in tears. The epitome of hard work and dedication. Our Mean Mercedes !!
  12. I truly believe if it was completely up to TLR, Eloy would be in the lineup today as the permanent DH. Tony has seen enough competent outfielders in his career to know Eloy is not even adequate. But he wasn't going to rock the boat with those fragile egos in the front office. Eloy on the DL is not on Tony.
  13. Has nothing to do with luck. Historically, CWS has not enjoyed the advantage of having dynamic, affluent sportsmen in the owner's suite - from Comiskey to the Reinsdorf cabal. LAD is standing in the way of a World Championship. No way in hell are the Sox remotedly as good as them. Reinsdorf did his once in a regime mambo in 2005. I can only hope the paradigm will finally change once this long past its expiration regime comes to a merciful, penny-pitching, finish-second-to-keep-the- base-thirsty end.
  14. There isn't anyone on this current roster that can or will compensate for Eloy's loss of offense production. And of course Reinsdorf won't be proactive and aggressive and look elsewhere. It ain't in him. The goal is second place and keep the base thirsty and teased. Lordy, I'll be glad when the Reinsdorfs and the McCaskeys are gone. Eloy is a DH. That's been crystal clear from all the time he lost due to his outfield misadventures last year. This organization (fragile egos and all) has to face that reality or risk destroying his career. The Sox won the Q trade. They can put that to bed. Cease may be on track for a breakout season. Eloy is not, nor will he ever be a competent defensive player. If he was, it would have taken a hell of lot more than Q to have landed both him and Cease. Ironically, had St. Theo signed him for an AL team, Eloy would be the DH. If Eloy makes it to Cooperstown, it will be because of his bat. However, I have my doubts this doofus front office will allow him to even make it through a season unscathed.
  15. What say you now? The Sox drafted one 5 tool player in the last 20 years and traded him for an expensive, broken down pitcher. Their MO is DH's. At least 4 players on this roster could be permanent DH with Eloy leading the way. This dufus organization won't be satisfied until they ruin his career for good. Now he's out for practically the entire season as the result of trying to make him into something that he clearly is not. Well done Kenny-Hahn-Tony.
  16. The guy is a DH and the sooner this organization realizes that, it will go a long way to saving his career. If Eloy was Roberto Clemente, he would still be playing for the Cubs. We traded a career.500 pitcher for Eloy and Cease. I'd do that trade for days.
  17. They gave up Adam Eaton. They weren't getting three Cy Young award caliber pitchers in return for him. Gio went back to Katz and turned his career around. No way in hell could you now trade Eaton for Gio. Lopez has been an aggravating tease for both teams. Dunning is an X factor. I hated to see the Sox trade him.
  18. He is colossally overrated and unrelatable.
