  1. This is an aberration perhaps because it is a national game.. But I've listened to this Kasper Clown on local Cubs-Sox telecasts rip the Sox unmercifully. I had no reason to believe he'd be any different tonight
  2. They signed this guy and had no clue what they were giving up - only to say he was just 17. If you're categorically as bad at talent evaluation as Kenny-Hahn, this was bound to happen. This is the baseball side of Aldridge for Thomas. Although I fear it may be the Cubs answer to Brock for Brolio given it was a future HOF shortstop traded for an otherwise forgettable pitcher. This could actually be worse given all the millions of dollars wasted on that forgettable pitcher. This trade guarantees Hahn will never run another sports organization. No MBA program can teach talent evaluation.
  3. Dennis Eckersley was the same way. Someone is going to wise up and realize ReyLo's potential is in relief. I would try him as a setup.
  4. I wish ReyLo well but he cannot be counted on as a starter on a contender. I have no clue what Cooper's role is beyond Reinsdorf's snitch but the only improvement has been Gio and he sought help outside. Cooper just does not relate to these guys.
  5. If I was Kenny-Hahn I'd inquire about Boyd to see where the Tigers brass is at. I like this guy.
  6. The Cubs are 45-42 The Sox are 41-42. Given supposed chasm of talent and payroll, you don't find that stunning ? OK. Ask the Ricketts how they feel about it. LOL
  7. The point is the Cubs should not be remotely in a position for me to state such a claim this late in the season. The Cubs were supposed to be working on a string of World Series Championships. They're not and barely beat Cleveland for the one post-rebuild championship they do have. Their payroll is almost 140 mil more than the Sox. We could have added Harpchado and a couple of starters and STILL had a payroll less than the Cubs. Who's getting the bigger bang for their bucks. Who's getting more of out of their present roster ? I'll give you a big hint It ain't the Cubs.
  8. If the Sox win these last 3 games before the ASB, they will have a better record than the Cubs. With the current make-up of the respective 25 player rosters, that's stunning. It's also telling me based on the Sox players on the DL and/or yet to be brought up, targeting the Cubs Rebuild is setting the bar way too low. The target is the Astros
  9. I don't know. Sounds like good natured sibling rivalry to me. They say Baby Bro may be the more talented. Damn, how frightening is that ? LOL. Certainly opens up a scenario down the road where they could end up playing together. Big Bro would just be hitting his prime. I hope whoever is operating the Sox by then don't F that up. Maybe that's a plan already in motion. And if it is, they certainly don't want Big Bro lamenting the Sox traded him. This rebuild of the Chicago White Sox could be far more reaching than ever I thought possible. The Sox rebuild may be more on the order of the Astros than the Cubs. The Cubs barely made it through the only World Series their rebuild has produced. All I heard was Bulls-like 3 peat chants. That hasn't quite worked out for St. Theo. Man he gave up a lot for that Chapman rental. But the Cubs are supposedly starting their own network. They had to win. And they have to keep winning. I believe the next Series in Chicago will be played on South Side. I'm not impressed with the Cubs pitching.
  10. Goes hand-in-hand with terrible ownership. "Organizations win championships" so says the Chairman. Well lousy ones don't.
  11. I love Q Always will. But we have to move on. Hamels should be the target And with all these millions upon millions of dollars the Sox have waiting to be spent, they should have no problem signing A-list different-makers.
  12. I'm shocked the Control Freak acquiesced. When Hahn says. "close" that could mean in terms of years. Anybody think 20 year old Tatis Jr would starting for the parent club had he been kept ? LOL. Please.
  13. Poor Carlos Rodon probably needed TJS a long time ago but that front office couldn't take hit of another first round failure. I'm absolutely convinced the way Kopech trained, Boston knew he was a TJS waiting to happen.
  14. Exactly. And by the time Reinsdorf decides it's okay to promote them, they are ready for TJS so their disability kicks in.
  15. And none of them are going to help you in a championship season. Where do they find these guys ?
  16. The WS collectively efficiency with the bases loaded is atrocious. Hero ball. Swing for fences instead prolonging the innings with opposite field singles or extra base hitting. When that dynamic changes by whatever means possible is when they become legit contenders offensively at least.
  17. Reinsdorf is still in "tanking" mode. Will be that way until the team is sold.
  18. Thank you. The whole premise of signing him and Jay in the first place was ridiculous, embarassing and an insult to the fanbase.
