  1. When and if Eloy comes back, still no guarantees even if he becomes the DH unless someone can act as his designated runner to the bases. This guy is not fundamentally sound in any aspect of the game other than hitting a baseball. He would be a first-ballot HOF player for batting cage excellence. Reinsdorf doesn't pay for top notch scouting. As a result they end up with a team of flawed players.
  2. If the Reinsdorf propaganda machine says 6 to 8 weeks, it's see ya in the spring, son. The guy is a gifted hitter who for whatever set of mechanical reasons cannot stay healthy.
  3. Neither TLR nor Donovan are good at putting their teams in the best possible position to win.
  4. His hands are always tied with the Reinsdorf group. They managed to mambo their way to one championship in 40 plus years despite being the only major market team in their division for decades. Imagine the Sox in the Eastern Division with that ownership....YIKES !
  5. None of the above gets done under that ownership group.
  6. Dreadful failure by Reinsdorf's organization in securing a strong starting rotation. The clock is ticking on this ownership. Maybe they just don't give a damn.
  7. Reinsdorf doesn't do $plashy. His shtick for 40 plus years is Catching Lightning in a Bottle. Worked great in 2005 when he did The Mambo and got career years out of everybody - including the vendors. He hadn't won a ship before or since 2005. Ships are coincidental to that ownership, not the primary objective....CLEARLY
  8. Please. They have Spin Master Hahn. There will be daily travel to Uranus before you get a straight answer out of that organization.
  9. This division would have been a perinneal cake-walk to the post-season for CWS with the right ownership.
  10. No all the so-called singles hitter did was hit a 3 run homer. It was a terrible trade when it was made and now it's even worse.
  11. It's about the money? Well shiver me timbers... Well one list Reinsdorf won't be on is the Pro-Sports All-In Ownership Groups. Billy Beane was waiting to abuse Kenny-Hahn yet again. Beane was going to demand the moon because he doesn't respect Kenny-Hahn. Padres gave up nothing.
  12. This organization has never been blessed with great ownership. If I owned the Sox, Baez and Bryant would be on this team and my season ticket plans would be selling briskley. Imagine opening day. What a madhouse the Rate would be. Sox would easily draw 3 mil plus. You gotta spend it to make it. You gotta spend it to win it. I wouldn't owned a professional sports team if I wasn't in it to win. The White Sox are the only major market team in their division. Been that way for decades. Should be an annual cakewalk to the post season. It would be my responsibility (not the fanbase) to field a team worth spending money on.
  13. and another manager and the biggest pipe dream..affluent ownership that can compete with Big Boy ownerships No more paper mache billionaires
  14. Reinsdorf's annual Catch Lightning in a Bottle Project. What an affront to the base not to commit to real quality difference makers. A glorious day in my life when this nightmare regime is gone.
  15. The preseason is not complete without a cost-contained, time-honored Ellis Burks Catch Lightning In A Bottle Project that substitutes for the lack of financial commitment to signing bonafided Tier 1 FA's. However this year, the RF CLIAB Project is already on the team waiting to emerge.
  16. If that pitching staff had the current CWS offense there would have been several more WS Championships in the trophy case. Pete was my favorite player back then. R.I.P.
  17. That crap doesn't play on West Madison. The Bulls sell out practically every game but they are in the bottom third in payroll.
  18. Whether it happened yesterday or 100 years ago is not the point. It has affected this organization's ability to compete. Going to battle with third tier FA's and a management modus operandi of trying to catch lightening in a bottle may work for you but not me. Does Reinsdorf pay you to bot for him?
  19. Of course he wasn't but if the next owners plan on keeping this team intact they are going to be looking at 200 million payrolls easy. There are only 30 ownership groups on the planet. Someone out there can deal with that monetary reality plus the fact the Sox need to relocate to the South Loop and get a piece of that tourism dollar plus the Tri State crowd coming into Union Station. Harold Washington had it all set up for Reinsdorf. He wanted his beloved White Sox to anchor the South Loop. Oh the money that ownership would be raking in now. Harold was a visionary. Reinsdorf, not so much.
  20. And this resolves the 2B issue ? Why won"t they leave Billy Beane alone ? So no Trevor (Tell Me A Bedtime) Storey gracing the infield at the Rate. Time is Ticking Rein$dorf.
