I would be willing to bet that if they gave him the full time DH spot, he would hit 30 - 35 homers and lead the team..and isn't that what the Sox need! Of course, they will still need to address the bullpen if they want to actually win games.

Pedro was on KC last year! He should know this and made it a top priority during spring training.

The problem is that the "lefty specialist" was geared toward facing that one lefty, but now that a pitcher has to face three batters, the "lefty specialist" is kind of a dinosaur in today's game. Same can be said for Bummer.

This team is going to lose 90 plus games...

Tigers just walked off the Giants in 11. Maybe falling to last place in the shittiest division in the Majors will be the kick in the butt they all need. -

What good is it if they can’t win games when their starter pitches well! -
I agree with many on this board about the extra inning ghost runner rule. I hate it as well. Here is what I would do in a situation much like last night in the bottom of the tenth. Walk the first batter so there are runners on first and second base. Why? Well, if one run wins the game, the guy on first doesn't matter and it sets up a possible double play...and, if there needs to be a play at third base, it becomes a force play and not a tag play. Also, the walk to the first batter can be unintentional to maybe get the batter to swing at bad pitches and get himself out.

Just one point about last night's game: The Sox had the opportunity to squeeze in a run from 3rd with Colas - a good bunter - but chose not to. Bunting in that situation puts pressure on the defense to make a play.

Pedro needs to be in the umps ear if for no other reason but to let him know that his pitcher better have that same strike zone.

Even if the starter is effective, the bullpen is gasoline! -
It’s absolutely ridiculous that they don’t have one decent arm at Charlotte to bring up. I live in Upstate NY and get to see a lot of Yankee games, and whenever they need an arm they call up a reliever who is usually effective….and the Yankee draft position is a lot worse than the Sox.

Starting to regret ordering MLB extra innings!

.500 might be optimistic with the astronomical number of home runs and walks they give up.

Then it’s time to move the fences back!

Not seeing much different this year compared to last year.

Can’t keep walking hitters and expect to win.

Should have pulled the trigger on trading for Gleyber Torres!

One huge difference between these two team is their hitters manage to make contact on tough pitches while Sox hitters whiff! -
