3 runs in this series so far and two of them driven in by Vaughn beating out double plays. -
Is it possible for a young pitcher to gain some velocity?
-
Can we put Thorpe and Kopech in the laboratory and create Thorpech! A pitcher with a great change up who hits triple digits with his fastball.
-
We both agree on that, but remember its Getz who makes the decision! Yikes!

Last night the Mariner broadcasters were saying that any team who trades for Crochet will simply add him to their bullpen because he is already close to his innings limit for this year. That, of course, will give teams a reason to justify lowering his trade value. I say if he needs to limit his innings, keep him and make him the Sox closer the rest of the year. Let the powers that be see what a difference a dominant closer can make. The Sox still have some decent Young starters without Crochet. Then, bring Crochet back next year as your #1 and see what happens. (P.S.) If JR is willing to spend $, they could have a good turnaround season next year. They can still add to their minor lesagues by trading Jiminez, Robert, etc....Keep Crochet!

Chasing Records — 121 losses, modern MLB record

How about the fastest team to 100 losses and/or the earliest date. Not sure what the record is now. -
You don't have to be a flamethrower to be an effective pitcher. See Michael Kopech.

Well, that was the Sox one chance to win a game in this series. This will surly now be a Mariner sweep. -
This is why teams like the Dodgers and Red Sox are good year afteryear. They just don't give up their good prospects and shitty GM's like those of the White Sox are willing to pull the trigger on lesser talent. Both of those teams knew what they were giving up. The Sox should have stood firm and insisted on Devers for Sale. I can just imagine these other GM's, after making a deal with the Sox, laughing their asses off saying how they just robbed the Sox.

This has to be thee worst bullpen in the history of major league baseball! There has to be some pitchers out there that can do better than this bunch of gas cans.
