Im trying to figure out how this topic is 2 years late. 3 years ago, Carlos was horrible. He worked his butt off the that following off season, and the last 2-3 years have produced more web gems than any other Sox player. Now granted, sometimes his awkward plays(falling on his ass on a foul ball while still catching it, getting caught on the wall at Fenway) catch the highlight reels more than some, but he's been improving since that 2000 season. He may have even got over his Dome syndrome, where he loses the ball in the white ceiling at either Minn or Toronto.

That has got to be the happiest, most excited post i've ever seen.

I had a feeling someone would start a post like this. This season is over.... a miracle would still have us fall short. No way we sweep them once, let alone twice... and Radke and Santana are the Sox worst nightmares, we simply cant hit them. Carlos and Uribe are bound to cool down here, and then what, we have Konerko and Rowand? Its over!

My friend who lives in Cleveland said its let up but it looks like more is coming. I would say the most that they could get in if they started right now would be like 3-4 innings.

Screw this whole Willie debate. I'd rather just see Uribe, Valentin and Crede finish out the year. At least there will be less nubbers to the pitcher w/o willie in the mix. I remember Hawk saying 2 years ago when he debuted that Willie had so much pop in his bat, somewhat like Soriono's pop. Where did this pop go? And why the hell does Willie walk so much anyway. All you have to do is throw strikes, and you will get him out.

What landed him before the deadline on my MVP Baseball season was Danny Wright and Koch for Pierre, but i dont think that will work out.

I dont seem to remember any 10 run games during that 7 game losing streak, in which he started 6 of the 7 games.

Well, you have to think the extra work in the off season in Vegas paid off... He's finally getting regular playing time, and this year, there's no one we picked up during the trading deadline to replace him in center.

I dont know if that was that bold of a statement. I mean, he was batting .370 in April and May, of course he was going to go down to earth. But what he's doing now isnt down to earth, its further into the crust. He needs to get back if we've got any shot, cause I cant stand watching Willie hit infield squibbers all day long either.

Sounds like the game will start in about 25 minutes.... Ledezma will not be in, because he's got a "young arm" and they dont want to take any chances. So hopefully we can get after whoever comes out. Didnt hear anything about Jon though.

We're only down 2 runs thru 3.... Im pretty sure we can get something together against Ledezma... Gulp, i think.

I've been watching the Season 2 Simpsons DVD's.... BTW, i wonder if Garland will come back out if the rain delay goes much longer...

Does anyone happen to know when we are scheduled to make up the Thursday game that was rained out against the Phillies back in June? I only ask, because I remember that they were saying it would be rescheduled for August 1st possibly because Philidelphia will be playing the Cubs this weekend.
