QUOTE(Rex Hudler @ Mar 10, 2006 -> 11:26 PM) Ha! You obviously didn't see the Indiana/Wisconsin game today. Haha, no no, I did see it. Im coming from the point of view of an Illini fan, so in my mind it was worse. But you are correct, the first half of that Indiana/Wisky game was quite brutal... 0 assists for both teams!!! :puke -

Im still not sure if I witnessed defense or just horrible offense. I think im taking the latter, which is usually not the case. Well, I still thought MSU needed this game more than we did, still no excuse, but we'll be fine come tourney time, most likely a #3 best case though. -

QUOTE(aboz56 @ Mar 10, 2006 -> 09:51 PM) Updates, anyone... Not so much the score, but moreso how the game is going... MSU playing well? ILL playing s***ty? This has been the ugliest half of basketball I've seen in a while. MSU has been getting back breaking offensive rebounds, and it seems like its draining Illinois at the offensive end. A 5 point lead with 3 to go seems pretty damn huge, considering neither team has scored that many in the last 4 minutes. -
I just saw on Sportcenter that the FBI issued a warning of a possible terrorist attack, including suicide bombers at all NCAA venues for the conf. tourneys. I have no link for this, just saw it on SC. edit: found a link --> http://abcnews.go.com/WNT/story?id=1711158&page=1

QUOTE(IlliniKrush @ Mar 10, 2006 -> 02:30 PM) Not one assist for either team the entire half. Good stuff. Has that ever happened before in any D1 game? That is so amazing. Thats got to be a first in the B10 conference at least. -

QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Mar 10, 2006 -> 12:09 PM) I thought we'd want to see tOSU play NW to get a good game. Penn State's still holding their own early in the 2nd half; they've pushed their lead to 10, 35-25. Well, this Penn St team is capable of pulling off the big game upset as we know. I'm really not sure right now who I want to win though, being a huge Big 10 fan, I think OSU getting a possible 1 seed would be huge, but then again, it takes out one more team that could beat Illinois. We got to handle the Spartans first I suppose, which will be tough. How do you beat an Izzo coached team 3 times in the same season. Uggg Go Illini! -

QUOTE(Jordan4life_2006 @ Mar 9, 2006 -> 02:34 PM) Are you thinking Grier? He got benched after committing 4 quick turnovers. He's done next to nothing. Minnesota is lucky to be in this game. Oh man, I need to get off whatever I smoked today. Im completely confused. Yeah, it was Grier who I was talking about, but when I posted that, I decided to type in the other teams star player. -

Anybody that is watching the Mich/Minny game, is there something wrong with Horton? Did he get hurt? On Espn it shows that he has played only 1 minute and has 0 PF's. Just curious. Edit: Ahh, nevermind, I checked CBS and he has 6 points, I'll go back to work now. -
QUOTE(ChWRoCk2 @ Mar 6, 2006 -> 01:00 PM) well looking at our team we could use a bullpen arm and outfielder: The following id love on this team: Duaner Sancehez-young with potential Bobby Abreu-all around player Carl Crawford-just imagine crawford pods at the top mike gonzalez-young pitcher Carlos Lee-no reason I just really liked carlos Rock on with your last selection there. Anyway, I would say Pujols obviously, and I really do like Crawford for his potential at that age, and one of my favorite pitchers, with the nastiest sinker in the game, Brandon Webb.

Does the last 5 out of 6 outs to close out a world series mean anything? 1 Vote for Juan Uribe.

Very nice work. For not being paid to do this, you're committment to the site is outstanding. Great Job

QUOTE(WilliamTell @ Feb 22, 2006 -> 06:53 PM) I'd like to see Buehrle, Garcia, Contreras, Vazquez, Garland I also want Garland back as our #5 only because he relished in that role last year. Considering that all of these pitchers are at least #2's in any other system, I could care less what order they are. But, if I suppose if I was the manager, I would make it: Buehrle, Contreras, Garcia, Vazquez, then Garland.

Cool video, I cant believe that went for 15 minutes. I hope they continue to do this throughout spring training. Thome looked like me if I tried batting left handed, some nice, weak, loopy swings. Probably his #1 goal is to not hurt himself before March begins.

QUOTE(Steve9347 @ Feb 23, 2006 -> 09:40 AM) Goldy, two things. the wallpaper is on my desktop. and that is the best picture of sasha cohen i have ever seen. A much bigger picture of that exact photo is in the SI from Feb 20. Probably on their website somewhere I would think. I agree though with Yasny, I can't remove my Uribe diving into the stands wallpaper either, I must continue to hold on to the moment!

QUOTE(Cuck the Fubs @ Feb 12, 2006 -> 10:11 PM) I think he will unfortuantly join the Cubs when he gets the chance. He still has a home in Chicago, and joining the Cubs would give him a chance to get his revenge on Ozzie. Refer to his slide into Todd Walker when thinking about the revenge he'd be seeking: That slide is a thing of beauty.

QUOTE(SSH2005 @ Feb 16, 2006 -> 08:26 PM) I have the Hawk and DJ booth bobblehead. The thing weighs like 10 pounds. That is definitly my all time favorite Sox bobble head. The mags one was until he was sent off to Detroit. I was really hoping for a Uribe bobble head this year....

QUOTE(Soxfest @ Feb 7, 2006 -> 01:58 PM) Clubhouse cancer never cared for him stay away Hey dammit, the guy was the only one that hustled his ass of each and every play in 2003, yet, somehow, once he starts off slowly in 04, everyone just starts hating on him. Let's try to keep the hating to a minimum, I'm pretty sure a guy that smiles 24/7 in the dugout is not the clubhouse cancer. Before the world series last year, he probably provided the most exciting walk off homer in Sox history against our favorite north side rivals. I'm sure he wont be back here, and frankly, he's better off him nobody wants him back anyway.

QUOTE(Kalapse @ Feb 6, 2006 -> 12:39 AM) I've been playing fantasy baseball for the past 5 years in about 4 leagues per year so I'm definately not a noob. The league allowed that sort of thing so I did it, it may have come off as a sophomoric type stunt but I have had it done to me in the past in a few different leagues that didn't have strict rules. It doesn't really matter though, it's in the past now. Although, I think just for that reason, leagues should be setup so that there is a waiver wire deadline. That is pretty cheap to pick up as many pitchers as you can who start the next day, when the team that you drafted to get you that point, is not carrying you in the postseason, at least pitching wise. I think this is why I like having a max on inning's used, instead of the minimum. Or maybe having both, so it avoids both conflicts.
