Hahha.. that sounds like a great game. I like how it advises you not to play during a Duke game. Probably a good idea. Personally, i dont mind Dicky V when he's calling a non- ACC game, except when he starts raving about Duke or NC during the telecast. Its also funny when everytime someone mails him or asks him on the radio why he's so Duke biased, he does always say "Whats not to love about Duke."! Well, at least he doesnt work for CBS, or otherwise he would probably cover the Dukies the whole way through the tourney.

I like Lawrence Holmes too, but Julie was great. Whats goign on there at the Score. I remember the days where it was T-Dub at 7-11, and Les Grobstein at night from 11-5. Man, those were the days, then Les gets fired for giving a press pass to his friend, and then Tommy Williams takes his spot, and about 8 months later, he's fired. The Score is not making very good decisions here, i wonder if Julie actually resigned or if she did something to force a resignation.

We sure are testy this off season. We should probably give Willie a chance to be an everyday starting 2B before saying we could have done better. I think he'll be fine this year, that speed will be nice to have on the base paths every game.

Woo Hoo! Illinois is a #4 seed in the latest Bracketology on ESPN. This nice stretch the last 3 weeks has really paid off, and now we can start thinking about the Big 10 league title and a great seed in the tourney. Now if we can just take care of the Hawkeyes! Michigan is now projected in the dance, which gives the Big 10 5 teams. Tomorrows Mich/Mich St. is going to be huge in deciding the Wolverines fate, they have to win this game. Lunardi has this to say about Illinois: The Illini are now my favorite Final Four dark horse. This is otherwise known as the kiss of death. If they can stay healthy, though ... Go Illlini!

Im stunned that Arkansas has won any game in the SEC let alone beating SC. When they played Illinois at the UC, they looked like a junior college squad. That was one of the worst games I have ever attended as far as excitement goes. I guess i was expecting more out of them... but maybe they are stepping up their play.

I love how they threw Kerry Woods 20 K performance at #100. I also like how Wrigley getting lights in 1989 was #92. And the Steve Bartman game was #62. I dont know if there is some Chicago bias there but if Wood is #100, does that mean the other pitcher that got 20 K's, Roger Clemens should be on that list? And i do remember the first night game at Wrigley in 89, but does anyone else in the world remember?

He's not going to get back to his 2002 status with 90-95 unless he created more motion/movement on his fastball. Even that year, he blew double digit games when he had a 100 mph fastball, just got wins because Oaklands offense bailed him out.

Champ Bailey is good, dont get me wrong... but I would be very upset if I was a Bronco fan. Portis is a TD possiblitly everytime he touches it, regardless of wheres he's at on the field. He has to be considered the best RB in the league, right up there with Priest and Jamal Lewis. Are the Broncos thinking that the performance by Quinnten Griffen in Week 16 against the Colts was eneugh to make him the starting RB? Speaking of the Bronocs, has anyone heard if Shannon Sharpe will be coming back next year or is he retiring?

Lol, we might be back to only 1 team ranked in the big 10.... I figure Wisconsin should drop around somewhere between 21-25 though, but Illinois will be there too, so maybe the big 10 can finally have 2 again. Yippee! Way to go Wolverines, hopefully now they can beat the Spartans on Tuesday.

Looks like Pruitt had a decent game... and oh wow... outperformed Mr. Livingston you say? Next year's Illini is going to be a fun team to watch if Pruitt gets a good amount of playing time with everyone back except for "Snacks" Howard.

Although, speed sometimes isnt what steals bases, its reading the pitchers first move and getting a good jump. Carlos led the team, and he's not even in the top 10 of fastest runners on our team.

Yes they were, I cant believe how many hand check fouls there were. And the one time that Richard McBride scores, he gets called for the charge. So the points offset just offset themselves. Big road game coming up against Iowa, Carver Hawkeye Arena usually gives us a lot of trouble. DEE BROWN IS THE MAN! Go illini!

Well, so far this game has been quite sloppy, but Illinois is holding on to a 6 point lead. Jack Ingram is showing why he deserves more playing time, did you guys see the 2 blocks he got and then on a loose ball he dove to the floor and slid on his knees(ouch, thats gotta hurt) making a nice screeching noise. Is Salim Stoudamire going to go early to the NBA you think? I've been so impressed with his play lately, he's a sure lottery pick... And I swear, Frye reminds me of Brian Cook, maybe because they have the same body type, but they have comparable skills.

Haha, im sure we will hear it all year long. Ozzie is like a broken record player when it comes to his players work ethics. We're gonna have fun this year... Anyways, i dont think its a big deal that players dont show up early. Its not like they are not training at the locations they are at now anyway. Im with Nextel right now, and with our plan (family plan) we get a combined 1500 anytime and free nights/weekends for about 43 a month. My parents however, 100 miles west of chicago, get theirs for about 15 a month. So i have a feeling chicago prices are a little steeper. Kinda sucks... Wo... this appears to be my 500th post... Nelson is amazing, but that West kid is damn good too. He's is more of scorer than nelson is, and just finds a way to get it done. As for the Duke/St. Joes prediction, I think we may see them play in the regionals this year, and if they do both get that far, i think St Joes would win. But in the regular season, i would probably give it to Duke. Btw, i still say that St. Joes will lose in the sweet 16, they havnt played anyone in the last 2 months besides Dayton, and i feel that will hurt them in the tourney.

I have to say im dissapointed that we started the overrated chant. That really pisses me off when we do that too conference opponents. I can see doing it when an ACC or Big 12 oppenent was in the gym, but you dont want to piss of Wisconsin since we could play again in Indianapolis in 3 weeks. I dont know, i just like the big 10 so much, it doesnt feel right to chant that to a team ill pull for in the NCAA tourney. Go illini!

Deron is playing solid ball (12 points on 5-10 shooting) as usual of late, Dee hasnt really got too many shots off but did nail one from about 5 feet behind the 3 point line with 3 on shot clock. Man, that is tough watching this game, i keep thinking we got a rebound, when Wisconsin was getting all of those offensive rebounds. Maybe we should have worn the white home jerseys tonight, but then we would lose the orange feeling... GO ILLINI!

Man, it seems like every game is the biggest game of the season, but here we go again. We gotta win this game, if we dont, the big 10 season championship will be out of reach, 2 games is too big of a deficit with so few games remaining. This time around we gotta stop devin harris, i think Deron should cover him the way he's been playing, and Wilkinson down low has to be forced out of the box. He was getting great position on Augustine in the game up in Madison... This is a monster game, and with only one more home game remaining, we got to take this!
