  1. QUOTE(hammerhead johnson @ Feb 4, 2006 -> 12:21 AM) Here are the dudes from league 3: Whitesoxfan56789 Flash Tizzle KipWellsFan Ishmookie Soxfanforever Soxfan1 El Caballo 45 mmmmmbeeer hammerhead johnson Jackie hayes Winning Ugly and....... Dougly!!! I don't think that we'll be seeing Doug again this year. Call it a hunch. Does Ishmookie even post here anymore? We'll probably need two new guys this season. Invite Sleepy. No, seriously. Being one of the dudes that you speak of, I'll continue to play. This is year #3 for Soxtalk Fantasy Baseball right? I bet we get 10 leagues this year.
  2. QUOTE(mr_genius @ Feb 1, 2006 -> 10:49 PM) 18 Uribe has never heard of the Beatles? thats messed up Perhaps this is why he isn't interviewed by ESPN that much then? Although, since I dont like the Beatles anyway, I have even more respect for my favorite White Sox player.
  3. Freaking great win! I havnt felt this satisfied since game 4 of the WS. Randle with huge rebounds/tip ins the whole game. If only he could stay out of foul trouble. ILL
  4. Give me a f***ing break Ryan, he's b****ing for calls that arnt even there. Chappel is just forcing the action into him while James has his arms straight up.
  5. I would say to watch them get it down to Tucker as much as possible with kickouts to Kammron Taylor, as he can heat up in a hurry. I would say McBride is still the X factor, he HAS to keep hitting those outside shots for us to win. And come on Pruitt, I know you have better post moves that what you showed in the first half. Go Illini!
  6. What a f***ing pass to Augie from Dee. Absolutley perfect.
  7. Haha... Lavin, " Bo Ryan with a striking resemblence of the Badger" as he's screaming at Tucker for not hustling.
  8. I have no idea what Carter is doing shooting a shot just inside the 3 point line with 28 on the shot clock, and Pruitt falling asleep on Alondo Tucker in the post. AHHHHHHH... and Chris Rock can't be stopped either. Not looking good.
  9. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Jan 31, 2006 -> 06:11 PM) Auggy with 2 early....I DIDN'T SEE THAT COMING That was like it was a designed play to get Augustine his 2nd foul. Weber says in the huddle, "Ok James, I need you to try to run through a man and extend your arms out so it's more obvious!"
  10. It will definitly be wierd seeing him in an A's uniform. (Green and yellow on the Hurt, blah) I wonder how many pellets he will hit into that high wall in left field that would be bullpen shots at the Cell. Good Luck Frank!!
  11. I just happened to make a bet yesterday at a sportsbook website on the over under set at 37 points for Kobe. I took the under. Let's just say I lost that one.
  12. QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ Jan 22, 2006 -> 08:14 PM) It's frustrating watching this game. Every shot taken at our VAUNTED defense is fine with me. I imagine we'll see many articles out tomorrow further criticizing our coaching staff. Oh, and how about Trufant not falling down when covering Smith on straight routes? It was amazing to watch. There was really only one downfield pass thrown to Smith and Trufant hit him early so it bounced off his shoulder pads. Delhomme is clearly rattled by Seattle's pressure defense, so it's not Smith's fault that the ball is not getting to him.
  13. Great start to the half, 9-0 run this half, leads by 23 now. Why couldnt we play this good in Evansten when Deron, Luther and Roger were here.
  14. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Jan 21, 2006 -> 04:21 PM) Illini up 32-17 @ the half NW at 22% for the half Hey Willie, why do you have Rafferty as your avatar? Just curious, I used to hate the guy about 5-6 years ago with his screams of "with a little kiss!" and "onions!" but now I find it amusing, especially compared to Vitale.
  15. Good half overall for the Illini. Chester with the 3 at the buzzer was a thing of beauty. His hair on the other hand.... Warren and Pruitt just about had top 10 Sportscenter plays, if only their thunder jams would have fell. I hope the tight rim that Northwestern had to shoot on loosens up, it seemed like a bunch of their shots hit front iron and out. Go Illini!
  16. Unfortunatley, I think this win against Duke, and Wisky's huge upset loss today, pretty much assures that the Big East is the best confercence in the country, if there wasn't any doubt already. Pittsnogle and company are next to try to make a statement for the Big East.
  17. What is the official definition for an intentional foul by the way... the intention to hurt someone? Cause it's definitly not just going for the ball. It's the one thing I've always hated about how the end of basketball ends.
  18. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Jan 21, 2006 -> 02:38 PM) This one's over. There only down 6 and have Reddick on their side. This game probably will last another 15 minutes the way the final minute in college b-ball is played. I wont say its over til I see 0:00 on the clock,
  19. Wow, there's a change of events... Reddick hits that 3, its a 1 point game, instead, a miss, a dunk by Georgetown, and now a 6 point game.
  20. QUOTE(SnB @ Jan 21, 2006 -> 02:31 PM) crazy finish going on at georgetown hoyas up 4 w/ 2 minutes left There in the middle of a meltdown, lets see if they can hold on here.
  21. QUOTE(DukeNukeEm @ Jan 21, 2006 -> 01:43 PM) Wisconsin unbeatable at home? I dont know about that, but this is a huge loss for Wisky's RPI rating and the Big Ten's RPI as well. The commitee loves that damn RPI.
  22. QUOTE(nitetrain8601 @ Jan 18, 2006 -> 07:47 PM) Surely Trufant will do a good enough job. I'm a Cowboys fan and will even admit he's better than Newman. Just in case you didn't know, Newman gave Smith fits and Smith had his worst game of the season against the Cowboys with only 1 catch for 13 yards before being ejected in the 3rd. Gameplan for Smith is simple. Rough him up, get the FS to roam towards him on every pass play and don't let him get out of his blocks clean. I hardly call any gameplan to stop the hottest wideout in the league simple, as he will get 100 and 1 without a problem against the Seattle defense that is probably underrated a bit, but still not that great. I've watched a lot of the Seattle games this year, having drafted Trufant, and numbers wise he was a big dissapointment this year, but the man seems to be a ball hawk player, but not quite Ed Reed yet. I think the key to this game comes down to whether Nick Goings can get 20/100 for the game. If so, they may put an extra man in the box, and if that happens, watch out for #89. I thought Seattle did do a good job on the wideout screen on S. Moss, so Carolina better not try to run that too often. Anyway, Panthers by 3 in OT is my prediction...
  23. QUOTE(Soxbadger @ Jan 18, 2006 -> 01:24 PM) Wisconsin at OSU tonight. Basically I expect OSU to try the Minnesota tactic of full court press, even Northwestern tried it, while Wisconsin tries to control the tempo through the swing offense. A game that Wisconsin can win, but on the road nothing is guaranteed. A win tonight and Wisconsin is in a very good position to win the Big 10 and get their highest NCAA tournament seed ever. SB I'm excited to see Alando Tucker and Terrance Dials play each other, should be a great matchup, but the due factor shows that OSU wins by 6. Anyone know the line, I think I'm betting the house.
  24. I'm getting pumped already for tonights game! Should be interesting, I'd like to see an Augustine/Killingsworth matchup, yet, I think they would both put themselves in foul trouble, and then we wouldnt see either of them. I'm thinking Pruitt may get eaten alive on the block with Marco, but anyways.... Here's a pretty damn good breakdown of the game... http://story.scout.com/a.z?s=169&p=2&c=489719&refid=400 Go Illini!
