  1. Well, since I have no idea how Chris will do as a radio announcer, I think I'll wait and see how he does before I object to not hiring a more experienced announcer.
  2. QUOTE(Chisoxrd5 @ Jan 12, 2006 -> 08:44 AM) My opinion as to why he will stay another year, if he chooses to do so, is to avoid playing for the Texans. I wouldnt want to run behind that offensive line either. When you are guaranteed millions and a lock for the #1 draft pick, I dont think there is even a question that he comes out. Who knows, the Texans might go out and pick up an offensive line through free agency.
  3. QUOTE(illinilaw08 @ Jan 9, 2006 -> 04:17 PM) It was Damir Krupalija, and yeah he did receive a medical red-shirt. The NCAA has to approve it, but they usually do. Brian Randle received one from last year even though he played in a few games at the very start of the year as well. All in all though a very tough blow for IU though I still think they will go as the outside shooting takes them. Killingsworth is still in my opinion the top big man in the big 10, but if Vaden and Strickland hit big shots, IU is still going to be very dangerous. HAHA, Im embarrassed as hardcore of an Illini fan as I am. I called him Andy, because I've always thought Andy Pettitte looked like Damir, so I started calling Andy Pettite, Andy Krupalija and vice versa. Ahh, my mind finally caught up to me.
  4. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Jan 10, 2006 -> 07:15 PM) Seriously, the olympics represent a great thing and they are a great thing. I second that.
  5. QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Jan 9, 2006 -> 04:10 AM) Some keys for the Panthers if they want to beat the Bears; Thomas Jones can't get over 100 yards rushing. Jones is kind of like Tiki Barber's importance to the Giants. If you can stop him and the Bears running game, then it puts the Bears in a lot more passing situations. They've got to get another receiver going other than Steve Smith. Smith's going to get his 7-10 catches. That's a given, he's just too good. But last time they played, and he did better than that, it didn't matter. The Panthers need a Drew Carter, a Keary Colbert, a Kris Magnum or Ricky Proehl to stand up and be counted. The Panthers O-Line. Probably the biggest key for them. I think it's actually quite underrated. Gross and Wahle are pro - bowlers, while guys like Mitchell have also done a pretty good job. If the Bears get 5 sacks or over though, I don't like Carolina's chances. I agree with the analysis, however, I think the biggest key here is again with Deshaun Foster. When he goes for 100, they are successful. He has to look like he did againts ATL and NYG for them to win. Also, although Smith did get 14 for something like 160 last time, only a couple of those catches he had significant YAC. If the Bears continue the philosophy of single covering him, they better make sure they tackle him on the first try, or they will be in for a long day. That said, Go Panthers!
  6. QUOTE(thedoctor @ Jan 9, 2006 -> 11:11 AM) yeah. it's too bad. you hate to see that happen to a player. i'm not sure, but hopefully there will be some chance for a medical redshirt for him. I'm pretty sure they should be able to medical redshirt him. I remember Andy Krupalia for Illinois about 4 years ago played like 5 or 6 games and then medically redshirted. I think the max games might be 8 to 10. Or im talking out my ass... who knows, it's Monday.
  7. I'm probably biased here, as he's one of my favorite players, but I thought that ejection was bulls***. I've seen several players touch the ref before during a game, and I guess it was just because he was questioning the call that he got thrown out. But really, there was no intent to hurt the guy, he just put his hand on his waist and asked what happened. Oh well, I guess I need to pull against him again though today against ATL as my Cowboys are depending on it.
  8. Need to lay off the whiskey, but Happy New Year everyone!!
  9. QUOTE(Dan @ Dec 26, 2005 -> 02:31 PM) hope everybody had a good one! happy new years too! Haha, that photo is just wrong. Happy New Year Everyone!
  10. QUOTE(The Critic @ Nov 27, 2005 -> 08:31 AM) I can't wait to see Sox Pride. The WS video was excellent. MANY thanks to Comcast for showing these videos!!! Perhaps this is retribution from when no one was able to watch the last game of the pivotal Cleveland series at home unless you had HD. Well, this more than makes up for it. Since this runs into January, there is only going to be one month where we are missing White Sox on the air.
  11. Can spring hurry the hell up! A bad day at work just suddenly changed. Kong!!
  12. Hey, speaking of sizes of clothing, does anybody know how the jersey sizes run. I'm pretty sure this was discussed before, but the search feature is turned off on the site. Anyway, I'm 6'4, almost 190 lbs, i would think 52x would be about right. Has anyone else who ordered an authentic jersey know a better estimates for jersey sizes. Thanks
  13. This is from fanball's site. Chiefs: Holmes' career may be over by Fanball Staff - Fanball.com Wednesday, November 9, 2005 News KSHB NBC TV in Kansas City is reporting that Priest Holmes has "very possibly" played his final game in a Chiefs uniform and could announce his retirement from the NFL as soon as Thursday. According to the report, further examinations revealed a lump on his spine that could lead to paralysis if he continued to play. The Chiefs have not officially confirmed the report and, as of Tuesday, were awaiting the results of a third evaluation in Miami. Views If this diagnosis is indeed true, it would not surprise us at all to hear that Holmes is hanging them up. He admitted publicly to considering retirement around the same time Ricky Williams walked out of the Dolphins locker room. If Holmes indeed calls it a career, Larry Johnson immediately becomes a top-five fantasy running back.
  14. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Oct 31, 2005 -> 03:18 PM) Actually, since I have that soundtrack, I can tell you it's from the scene where the fighters from El Toro (led by Will Smith) launch an attack on the ship sitting over LA and are completely obliterated...this is followed by an attack on El Toro, and Will Smith being chased through the high desert by oen of the mini ships. I actually thought I was the only one that had that soundtrack. I also have The Rock soundtrack, which in my opinion ranks as the #1 score ever. There is no Pirates of the Caribbean theme without the brilliant work of Hanz Zimmer in "The Rock."
  15. QUOTE(3E8 @ Oct 30, 2005 -> 03:52 PM) Okay I finally finished my May highlight video. Be patient at the beginning, it starts slow but picks up shortly after. At several points I matched lyrics of the song to what was happening in the highlight, see if you can find them all... Sox May 2005 Vid. Enjoy! EDIT: Downloadable April link, if anyone wants. Sox April 2005 Vid. Great work 3E8! I think I've watched April's about 10 times and I probably will watch May even more with the classic DJ call in there 3 times. By the way, you've got me hooked on the band that you have for you music, who is that?
  16. QUOTE(Athomeboy_2000 @ Oct 29, 2005 -> 08:19 PM) Actually, it's called "Base Attack" I assume it's from when Area 54 is attacked, not sure though. Ah yes, good call. I was exaggerating a bit there though. The president speech one may have worked better there. That one gives me goosebumps without emotional White Sox moments.
  17. QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Oct 29, 2005 -> 02:58 AM) Loved the highlights although I also would of liked if u showed the bottom of the 14th with uribe's error and than Buehrle coming in and closing it down...... Also not really a big fan of the music. How could you not like the music. It is the president's speech from ID4. The most inspirational scene in movie history.
  18. Just got back myself. I was a block before LaSalle street, and I was not moving 1 inch once I got in the middle of the crowd. I was able to see everything though being 6'5. I got Uribe to look at me though after screaming his name senselessly. He probably wondered who that idiot was. I only wish Carlos could have been here.
  19. URIBE HAS TRUMPED ALL OTHER CLUTCH DEFENSIVE PLAYS, WHAT A f***ING PLAY ONE MORE!!!!! COME ON BOBBY. GIVE EM THE HEATER!
  20. Oh my God, what was that Rowand! Why would he be bunting on 0-2. AHHHH, f*** it, lets just get to the bottom of the 9th already.
  21. I cheated on that one, I listened to Rooney and Farmer, which is like 10 seconds ahead and heard the call well before that ball was hit. I dont want to listen to Buck anymore, and this is Rooney's last call on the Radio. (hopefully!)
  22. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Oct 26, 2005 -> 09:37 PM) URIBE IS THE CLUTCHEST DEFENDER IN BASEBALL BAR NONE Lol, I'm one of his biggest fans, and I dont know if yesterday's game proved that statement, but any Juan support is better than none. Gotta love the gun though!
  23. You guys didnt think we were just going to retire 6 in a row did you? That would be too easy. And a side note, that wild pitch may have done us a favor.
  24. QUOTE(DonkeyKongerko @ Oct 26, 2005 -> 09:23 PM) It's almost sad in a way this might be the last game of the season. ALMOST. Sad, but, I'll be ok with it.
