How long do you think it takes to read a sign at the Major League level? A 95 MPH fastball takes 0.4 seconds to reach home plate. Are you saying a professional player can't read a 1+ second sign from his coach when they are trained to look there right before the pitch?
-
I just re-watched the Tatis at bat. He didn't even glance towards 3rd. Yerm did, like he was looking for a sign. I'm agreeing with you here but just think that aspect of the at bat was different. Here is Tatis not looking at all at 3rd (2:20ish) Here is Yermin looking at the 3b coach/dugout (:19 secs or so) Again, I think this is dumb as fuck but it seems to me Yermin ignored a sign. BTW I bought a Mercedes jersey and stand by him, think TLR is a dumbass. Just saying he may have ignored a sign.

Yea that's probably where I saw it but it's hard to sift through old twitter posts/videos. Again though, I think its kind of irrelevant. I was kinda-pro TLR hire before the season, indifferent after the first month or so (figured it would take a bit for him to understand his players and the game after 10+ years) If Yermin blatantly ignored a sign you can get mad at him, sure. But why publicly throw him under the bus? And then you defend the opposing pitcher when he throws at him? I know a lot of people here don't like Ozzie but the one thing I think most of us can agree on is that he defended his players right or wrong. Correct me if i'm wrong but I don't think I've seen TLR come out and argue 1 time this season??? Not saying I want a hot-head but like come on.... I still hope and wish he does a good job the rest of the season but this old school 1950 baseball mantra is dumb as fuck. We are losing viewers/fans and you get players who bring young/new attraction to the game (batflip, etc. etc.) and you want to turn the new generation away???????????? Doesn't make sense to me. Anyway i'm ranting. Go Sox and fuck the Yankees

I believe I did see this. Let me check if I can find something. Edit: I saw him out of the dugout AFTER the homerun as he was rounding the bases and he pointed sternly at Yermin with his back to the camera. (Probably saying something like "I told you to take." Still checking tho. Not that this changes anything.

DoUEvenShift replied to harkness99's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Fun fact our Billy Hamilton is currently tied with our good old pal Scotty Pods at 309. -
Yea got the same email. I got moved 3 rows further but oh well, just gonna be happy to be in the park again.

I personally didn't care much about the discount, for me it was this: Access to all potential Division Series games, one Championship Series game, and one World Series game (Based on Availability)

I remember there was talk in the 90's of moving the Sox to Aurora/Naperville. (I believe it was off 88 close to where that outlet mall is currently) As a young kid living in Aurora it would have been a dream come true. These days I live even farther from the park (about 80 minutes without traffic) but still get to a good amount of games. I never experienced the old Comiskey so I don't have any attachment to the location/stadium. With that said I'm pretty indifferent if they move to another location in Chicagoland. My parents however grew up in "SOW CHICAGO" as they pronounce it and would probably find it sacrilege if the Sox played anywhere other than the south side.

Yes this seems to be the case. I bought a (prorated) 20 game package. My first game was suppose to be May 14th and I sent an email a few days before asking where my tickets were. Apparently they over sold tickets expecting higher capacity (go figure) so they had all season ticket/package holders bid on tickets. Typical Sox move to sell tickets that weren't even available at the time... 60% capacity is 100% confirmed for starting the next homestand 5/24 (Monday) against the Cardinals so hopefully that resolves most if not all of these issues.

You must not watch the games or look at the data. There is literal proof home plate umpiring has cost the sox over 11 runs this year to this point.

I would move to NC in a heartbeat if the Sox moved there.

If you have a computer or certain devices there are workarounds (search MLB unlocator)

He was able to get it corrected. His package was transferred to him as a gift (which is allowed in the portal) but if you transfer the package it doesn't let you redeem game tickets once you transfer. (lol?)

My coworker is having the same problem with a holiday package he purchased. Sent the Sox a scathing email yesterday. I'll ask him what they said.

Why does my Weather app show no rain in Minneapolis? Is this just isolated?

And that's a 16-4 White Sox winner!

Awful take. Imagine an entire club ignoring a managers decision/call because they feel it's "dumb" whether it be correct or incorrect. -

Your guess is as good as mine. Didn't know radio crew was allowed to travel, that's news to me

I don't always defend Benetti but.. keep in mind him and Stoney are calling the game in Chicago seeing the same feed we are. He probably saw the bat drop from Grandal and went with that. Edit: Just saw others have already addressed this

Seems like fake news. And if it's true Engel will be back in a few days if he wants to make a statement.
