You should really realize how young some of these players are before saying some of this stuff especially cause a lot of it isn't true. And if it was, wouldn't you be ecstatic that your team could make it that far with half of your core being like you say they are?
They got through a young Brewers team and a Nats team that collapsed in Game 5. Pirates, Cards, Brewers have a lot of young talent and room to grow. I don't think this Cubs team ever looked very good. Arrieta's probably gone. Zobrist and Heyward look done. There's a lot more holes then people realize. In many ways they're worryingly close to being an MLB equivalent of the Hawks, where their top 2 mean they have a chance at the playoffs every year but the front office is going to have to do a lot of work to get around aging players and money.
They made the NLCS 3 years in a row sure, but in 2 of those years Bryant and Rizzo looked mediocre in the playoffs. Everything isn't nearly as jolly and fun as some people are making out.
And personally, I'd be furious the way they showed up against the Dodgers, I don't care if they're the best team in baseball. What do they have to take home after this series? A finger wag? Neat.
