Wilbur Wood started both games of a doubleheader, granted he didn't make it out of the first inning of the first game and ended up losing both games. On July 20, 1973, Wilbur Wood of the Chicago White Sox starts – and loses – both ends of a doubleheader against the New York Yankees. The knuckleballing left-hander, who loses 12-2 and 7-0 decisions, will finish the season with 359 innings pitched and a record of 24-20. Wood, to date is the last pitcher to start both games of a twin bill. The knuckleballer gets the nod to start the nightcap after not making it out of the first inning in the opener.

This team isn't cursed. It's a fish rotting from the head down.

Kenny wants to retire, he probably told JR to fire him so he can hang his hat on the 2005 WS and distance himself from this train wreck. The longer he stay's the more bad press he'll receive especially after his "Accountability" comment.

Moncada actually dealing with a back issue.

Especially with a new Manager and coming off such a bad season, and the last few years of spring training were interrupted by COVID and the strike. -
He was telling us about the software c.o and some App they were developing on the tour. He also brought up the fact that his Dad and everyone spent too much time looking at wind charts to determine ball flight etc when planning the new stadium and their biggest mistake was not taking advantage of the downtown Chicago skyline when they positioned the stadium facing the projects instead of downtown. I'm not so sure he wouldn't want to run the Sox, but it's just strange that you never hear his name brought up.

Is this it, it's over 2 hours.

I wouldn't count on it. JR wouldn't/couldn't fire his loyal trusted Gar/Pax, so he had his son take control of the team so he would do it for him. That's the only way Ken/Hah will be fired, they have jobs for life much like our first base coach.

He was shafted by both sides of town. Sat through dreadful rebuilds only to be replaced when the teams were ready to contend.

Silvy is just so irritating I don't know how people can listen to him, but Berto made the show.

I'm gonna be 64 this year and really there's no way it's happening before then with JR still around. Hang in there, you'll make it as long as my timeline is accurate. Oh, I just thought about how many games I'll still be going to at 74. I know I won't be going to any parades at 74 so I'll have to watch that on TV.

You're probably right and there's examples to prove your point that the Sox don't develop players before trading them away. Marcus Semien, Dane Dunning, Frankie Montas, Steele Walker, Tatis Jr............
