  1. Jr's 87, he probably can hold on until 90-92, then another year or two to sell the team, add another 5 years for a rebuild and I'll see ya all in 2033 at the parade.
  2. Not really, he sold a lot of Cub assets during the rebuild to acquire draft picks and prospects, then they did their homework in the scouting department and drafted well. They actually developed their players in the minor's and taught the players "The Cub Way" of doing things.. I believe he put together a list or hand-out of "The Cub Way" as a guide for the minor and major league players to follow and what was expected of them in the Big Leagues. It's called accountability, not letting the inmates run the asylum like the Sox way of doing things.
  3. Ahhhhhhhhhh no, I mean a firm NO for JR.
  4. Serious teams looking for a General Manager to turn things around don't go looking within the organization like the Sox. They seek an innovator, someone to spend the owners money to build a winning team. Those teams shop at Whole Foods or Sunrise while the Sox shop at Food For Less and Walmart.
  5. you were looking at this quote from Seby further up this page.....Zavala on the Blue Jays: “Those [bleepers], they just foul off a lot of [bleep] and it puts us in a hole,” a frustrated Zavala said, “and maybe makes us feel like we don’t know how to get them out or something. I don’t really know.”
  6. I'd be surprised if any top flight team like the Dodger's would be interested in a SS with a hole in his glove and a bad attitude.
  7. 3 managers in 4 years and you expect multiple championships and parades Mr Hahn.
  8. Great, another lumbering DH to play RF
  9. I'll say this, Eloy wanted to prove he was a MLB outfielder that we all know he's not, but Pedro starting of infielders Romy and Sheets while Eloy was at DH had to hurt his ego.
  10. But we have Kimbrel, no wait I mean Pollock, Benintendi? and it will only get worse once Cody Heuer comes back.
  11. NO, and they weren't when we signed them either, especially Kelly. Just bad signings by slick Rick.
  12. Sox continue the trend of overusing their young Bullpen arms while Kelly, Graveman, and Diekman sit and rest for the playoffs?
  13. Exactly, how much of an impact has Daryl Boston done with our infielders trying to learn the outfield. He's not the whipping boy here, that's on Hahn and KW for building this team with un-athletic plodding player's who rarely hit for power.
  14. Where does the Met's Vogelbach fall, he moves pretty good for a BIG man.
  15. I missed it. How many pitches did the Sox look at in the 1st inning?...I had the over/under set at 9
  16. I put the over/under at 9, on how many pitches the sox hitters will see in the 1st inning.
  17. Pedro's channeling his inner TLR for answers to this line-up.
  18. The beat goes on, let's throw anyone out in RF except an actual outfielder and see what happens. Meanwhile we still have no MLB ready RF or 2B while Hahn claims we are "competing for multiple championships." and "talk to me after the parade".
  19. I think I agree, but hope we're both wrong.
  20. If were gonna burn it all down, who better than Ozzie to light the fuse
  21. I hope so but we know Daryl Boston's not going anywhere.
