Yas smacked that ball, and Benni's was well placed. I'll forgive the out at home, for now. Gio also looking good, and Vaughn's dive was nice. -

Maybe Marco Paddy should start looking at the Dominican Republic for player's instead of Cuba. How can Cuba lose to Italy and the Netherlands? -

2023 Spring Training Thread
A-Train to 35th replied to ChiliIrishHammock24's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Hearing raves about camp Grifol stressing the little things and the attention to detail needed to win. Unfortunately the ones that can use it the most are away at the WBC. So another season goes by with minor league instruction interrupted at a time when a young team needed it the most with the last 3 interrupted by the strike and COVID. -

Yes I can. I was one who said to give Tony a chance, but after last year I totally blame him for the downturn in team energy and performance. Listening to player's talk about doing drill's in Spring training that were never asked of them previously is telling. -

I listened to the podcast and didn't get the feeling that TA was being an ass at all. I'm actually starting to get excited about the upcoming season after listening to some of these podcast and after hearing how much has changed from last year. They won't say it, but Tony was obviously the problem with this team underperforming. The whole team culture where no one was held accountable by a players manager was clearly a problem with the team not pulling together. -

Andrus to the Sox, expected to play 2B, 1 yr, $3 mil

Agree, I bought into their BS when the talk of Machado heated up. If they were to ever sign a real superstar they would see a BIG uptick in ticket sales. But why even bring it up, it's not happening with this owner. -

Unfortunately Comcast has you by the b*lls, they have 3 plans, (10, 125, or 185 channels) and in order to cancel the sports package you have to go to the basic package which is a deal breaker. -

Good points about the $$ and not being able to get anything for him. So should they move him this year to get more prospects? I believe Elvis is still available. -

14 mil is a steal for a former batting champ, if he can stay healthy and hit like we know he can I'd keep him. -

TA is under club control through 2024, he's owed 12.5 mil in 2023 and Sox have a 14 million option on him for 2024. 14 mil is a good deal for the Sox, maybe Colson can move to 2B for a year. -

Grifol told Eloy to get some work in RF
A-Train to 35th replied to Chick Mercedes's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Sheets and any other non-outfielder should never see the outfield grass again, I'm in for Colas. Other teams bring up minor leaguers and give them a shot. If we have to replace someone because of injury bring up Cespedes or if Billy Hamilton makes the team he could play center if Robert were to go down. But please no more Sheets or Vaughn in the outfield ever again. -

24 pages and counting wasted on the POS Clevinger. I can see 4 pages tops, how bout we talk baseball and end this back and forth BS until MLB completes their investigation. -

Stop wasting your time with him, he's a sarcastic tool, and not a very sharp one either. -

The safest place for Eloy may be on another team because he's an injury waiting to happen whether he plays the outfield or DH. Eloy's injury history 1. Chicago White Sox outfielder Eloy Jimenez will miss 4 to 8 weeks of the 2022 season following an injury to his right hamstring while attempting to beat a throw to first base. He had to be carted off the field. 2.. Eloy Jimenez suffered a torn left pectoral in March 24, 2021 during spring training attempting to rob a home run 3. Eloy Jimenez missed the meeting between the White Sox and Cubs to conclude the 2020 regular season with a sprained foot. He suffered the mid-foot injury to his right foot rounding third base. He returned for Game 3 of the ALDS on Oct. 1. 4. Jimenez injured his ankle while celebrating Lucas Giolito’s no-hitter, though he did not need to be placed on the IL. August 2022 5. July 16, 2019, Jimenez was placed on the 10-day IL with a right-elbow injury following a collision with fellow outfielder Charlie Tilson in the first inning against the Kansas City Royals. He returned to action July 28. 6. April 28, 2019 Jimenez was placed on the 10-day IL with a high right-ankle sprain following a collision with the wall against the Detroit Tigers. He appeared to get his foot stuck in the padding attempting to corral a home run. 7. Dec. 16, 2018 The White Sox chose to shut down Jimenez during winter league play in the Dominican Republic following a quad strain. 8. July 2018 Jimenez missed two weeks of his minor league season with a left abductor muscle injury. 9. April 2018 Jimenez began his Double-A season late due to a left pectoral injury
