  1. That team with Hoyt, Trout, and Dotson were partiers and enjoyed a little something, something. sniff sniff.
  2. Add LaMarr Hoyt to the list. Hoyt was arrested again for drug possession when he tried to bring 500 pills through the US-Mexico border.
  3. I was being sarcastic and would much rather see Romy at 2B. This team needs hungry players like Romy and Colas to infuse the lineup with some energy, which the players who signed long term rookie deals seem to lack.
  4. Agree, but it makes him a perfect fit for the White Sox because he'll come cheap at only 3.7 Mil. , sounds like Josh Harrison with a smaller bat and salary. Perfect, sign him say's JR to RH.
  5. Great point, you would of thought the Sox would have taken that clue and said no thanks, but Rick's trying to be the smartest man in the room where he's the only one at the table and was most likely bidding again against himself when he signed this POS early.
  6. If you were being hired for an upper management position at a large company or firm you can bet you're ass their doing a background check on you, and something like this may or may not be relevant to them. It's called character and a large firm wouldn't take a chance on getting their name tarnish by a suspected abuser and skirt chaser. We know it's not relevant with the Chicago White Sox, that's why we're in this situation. A better signing would have been Jameson Taillon if the Sox were serious about winning.
  7. What relevance would having two sets of injury records have, and can you share a source? Regardless if he did or didn't have two set's, any team trading for a player includes a clause pending passing teams physical. Let me bring you up to speed on Carlos Correa not passing physical's with the Giant's and Met's who voided both deals by doing their homework.
  8. Daryl Boston can share a few stories no doubt, speaking of, as long as the Sox continue to employ him, maybe it's JR's character that should be questioned. After all he employed a two time DUI offender and a coach suspected of participating in rape with a group of players.
  9. I know, I'm just saying there's more about his character that comes into question than fooling around. Why did Tito get rid of him after breaking MLB's COVID rules, seems kinda harsh. I believe Cleveland knew the real Mike Clevinger otherwise they wouldn't have gotten rid of him for breaking that rule.
  10. He's not married, but has dated the mother of 2 of his children born in 2016, 2017 since 2014, and had a third child in 2020 with the woman he's now being accused of abusing. So he's in a relationship with a woman who he had 2 children with a long time, in the meantime he's messing around with Bauer's friend, this woman he is suspected of abusing today and who knows how many more. I guess the kid's are proud their Dad likes to f***.
  11. while it doesn't accuse him of being an abuser, it's his character that comes into question
  12. I posted the wrong link, see my post on page 11 for the correct link. while it doesn't accuse him of being an abuser, it's his character that comes into question
  13. Here's the quote....Bauer’s accuser, who dubs herself an ardent San Diego Padres fan, also said she had previous sexual relationships with other major league players, including Padres star Fernando Tatis Jr. and pitcher Mike Clevinger. From this article also in August of 2021, the quote appears towards the bottom. https://timesofsandiego.com/sports/2021/08/19/judge-denies-san-diego-womans-call-for-extension-of-restraining-order-against-trevor-bauer/
  14. Found this from August of 2021, just by googling today. Read the first two paragraphs. https://timesofsandiego.com/sports/2021/08/17/trevor-bauers-accuser-questioned-about-past-relationships-with-padres-players/ That's not the article, although Clevinger's not mentioned in this article "other Padre's player's" I did find one that mentioned Clevinger as one of the "other" player's.
  15. If you did any kind of social media background check it would have come up. Or haven't the Sox heard of google?
  16. I bet the player's can thank the collective bargain agreement for that clause.
  17. BTW, are you southsiders2k5 burner account? You seem to like each others posts often.
  18. Bob, I just said America loves drama, give it a rest already. To your point, it's still isn't known if Clevinger can overcome two TJ's and a bad knee to be the 5th starter. The signing was risky before this new came out.
  19. Eloy's news happed at 1:05 yesterday and had a total of 1.5 pages of response, this thread is now 9 pages long after less than an hour. Just curious, are you always so condescending and have to act like you are the smartest in the room. Try having a original thought instead of rushing to copy and paste the latest twitter feed from someone else's thoughts.
  20. The thread may be weeks old, however when Eloy added video yesterday claiming he didn't want to accept playing DH and he has a surprise for us, that's BIG news and has more to do with the Sox success than Mike Clevinger who takes the ball every fifth day, if we are to believe he's healthy enough. Mike Clevinger is replaceable and that's what the Sox should do with him at this point.
  21. Or he's playing the Bob Newhart role to a tee, with sarcastic humor. I don't recall it, but I'll believe your take because, well because your Dick Allen and seem to know what you saying more than a lot of people on this board.
  22. I'm surprised that you would comment on any of my posts after saying you would ignore me.
