  1. Jerry's too cold to feel any heat and I'll believe it when it happens.
  2. "Conforto is back to full health"....What else is Boras going to say....take a chance on the next Cody Bellinger rehab project. Of course he's talking to "a number of teams", that's how he get's top dollar for his clients whether or not he's really talking or not.
  3. I was comparing Fraziers (8 mil) stats and salary to Leury (5.5 mil) and although Frazier had 241 more at bats (541 vs 300) he stuck out 73 times compared to Leary's 65. In 300 at bats Leury only drew 7 walks with a .210 average
  4. Makes sense, if he takes an opt out after 1 year, I thought I read he was looking for a 2 year deal with an opt. out after the second year which adds significantly more $$$ and risk.
  5. Yawn, then should we have signed Bellinger instead?
  6. I wanted to bring Colas up last September with Robert hurting, but most people on this board said he wasn't ready. He's been ready since he left CUBA and will be our RF on opening day, which if we had any other options last year to play RF besides Sheets and Vaughn should be delayed at this point to get another year of service out of him. But last year he could of helped, then again we weren't going anywhere with or without him last year.
  7. I care about someone coming off a shoulder injury (think Bellinger) who put up shitty numbers the year prior to becoming a free agent. Boras won't agree to an incentive laden deal and will seek the most for his client so there's a 30 million dollar plus risk attached to Conforto. With the way things are shaking he'll request 18, may end up with 14-15 but the ask will be there.
  8. Can't say I recall any of that, but then again he's so annoying I never have watched or listened when he was on the radio.
  9. A couple of years at 18 mil plus for someone coming off a significant injury who's batting average when healthy the previous year was .232, no thanks
  10. Stay clear of Conforto, I'd rather have Benintendi. https://www.fantasypros.com/mlb/draft/andrew-benintendi-michael-conforto.php
  11. Of course it seems possible, it would just be another hire from the JR family tree of coaching.
  12. He does have another son named Jonathon who I'd prefer over Michael.
  13. This team is full of pulled hamstrings.
  14. I believe the plan is to keep him for the two years of team control at a bargain basement price and then let him go when he hits free agency and bring up Colton Montgomery. Their not trading TA anytime soon, maybe in 2024 at the trade deadline if they were smart, instead of letting him walk.
  15. The only problem I have with TA is his glove. Liam and Lynn are not everyday players so to compare them to TA is not fair. We see TA everyday, which is one reason he generates more negativity. I say just catch and throw the ball and the negativity would go away.
  16. The Sox suck is all I can say. At least I can say I was frustrated with this team for a reason. Time to move on and wait for a new owner. The Met's never thought it would happen with the Wilpon family, and low and behold they now have Steve Cohen. One can only hope.
  17. I had him going to the Cubs but I have my doubts after initially thinking they would be in play for Turner. With all the talk about JR being cheap etc., I'd rather have him over the Ricketts family. They were in the running for the Chelsea FC soccer team with an expected bid of 4 billion, but can't find money to sign any top tier free agents?
  18. Hello, hello....oh sorry you have the wrong number.
  19. Meanwhile back at 35th and Shields Hahn sits and waits by the phone for that special offer that's never going to come.
  20. Yes Sir, I'm counting on Kelly, Moncada, TA, Eloy, Robert, Grandal, Bummer, Giolito, Clevinger, a TBD 2B, a RF TBD all to have bounce back seasons and propel the SOX to the WS. Did I leave anyone out?
  21. I firmly believe that JR will do nothing in his power to improve this team, mainly because he doesn't want the team to improve which would only show his TLR hire was a complete disaster. JR is basically saying to Hahn, prove your manager is better than my good ol friend Tony.
