  1. Eloy got a boo-boo last night diving back to first base, and he needs to rest so we'll DH him because we need his bat in the line-up. Eloy's another IL waiting to happen, since his bat is hot Tony should make him the permanent DH and play Pollock-Robert-Engel.
  2. Tony's got Vaughn and Sheets so messed up they may never recover. Consider Vaughn a natural 1B who only played 52 minor league games before getting called up to to the majors only to find there's no position for him to play so he has to learn how to play the outfield and just for grins lets try him at 3B and 2B. Vaughn is too slow to play the outfield and get's exposed time and time again. Tony must have it in his mind that Vaughn is the new up and coming Leury. The Sox don't develop players, they un-develop them.
  3. I believe WAR awards you for playing multiple positions, so not really.
  4. You know after listening to the Tony video praising Leury again, one thing stands out.......... I can actually understand what Tony's saying. Fast forward a year to Tony in 2022, and I can barely understand a word he's saying. Do you think something happened to him physically to cause him to slur and mumble.
  5. TLR is going to dislike you if you say that again Tex.
  6. They build the team to fit the stadium with speed and defense, Hahn on the other hand collects DH's who hit the ball in the ground a lot
  7. Oh he will, because you know he's not a utility player and Tony will dislike you if you say he is.
  8. Carlos appreciated the Sox patience with him and it's nice to see he made that offer. I agree with you about the Giants showing faith in him, and you would think the Sox would have at least offered a QO after 7 years in their system and being a third overall pick in the 1st round. Knowing the Sox medical staff they could have given Hahn reason to back-off, but then again it's the Sox medical staff we're talking about. The Giants take their player development to another level and they must not have agreed with the Sox take on his medicals. No surprise there, the Sox don't hire qualified coaches, I doubt their medical staff and trainers are any better.
  9. Rodon only pitched 42.1 innings from 2019-20, not quite 3 years and he did pitch 120+ innings in 2021 before he was shut down with arm fatigue? Still I wouldn't invest my money in either, and I'm not as stingy as Jerry.
  10. They should rest him until he heals, play Leury at 2B and Harrison at 3B until that happens. He's obviously looking for the "perfect" pitch to hit and not swinging because he's hurting makes sense.
  11. No need to check as a lot of posters wanted Carlos, show me he can do it again next year and I'd gladly give him 44 mil for 2 years I just wouldn't have done it based on the previous years.
  12. Giant's believe in player development and know the Sox are terrible at it, so they search for players from teams such as the Sox for a diamond in the rough. https://populous.com/populous-delivers-new-san-francisco-giants-player-development-center-at-papago-park The San Francisco Giants Player Development Center was designed to incorporate the best features of elite training facilities, allowing the team to prepare players and coaches for both the Minor and Major League seasons.
  13. The chairman of the board. Don't you love a farce My fault I fear Losing my timing this late in my career Send in the clowns, where are the Clowns?, There ought to be clown's. Well, maybe next year.
  14. here comes another look at strike three, it's so predictable
  15. Speaking of, take a look at Polock's OBP for his nine season prior to coming to the South Side when he averaged .333, he's at .281 this year still better than you know who.
