  1. Billy Bean and the Oakland A's are licking their chops in anticipation of landing all of the Sox top prospects. He'll fleece Hahn over the weekend series with his A's.
  2. "Team officials believe the Sox can win the division", but Jerry is hoping for a second place finish so he can get our hopes up for next year. Then he'll raise the ticket prices because we're so close to winning it all.
  3. Too big of a risk and too much money for someone who's been injured more than he's played the last seven years. Not counting this year with the Giants, Carlos has averaged 95 Innings pitched per year. Not good enough for my 18 mil QO, or the 44 mil. the Giants are paying him.
  4. Bring up Colas, he's Left handed and has to be better than Sheets or Vaughn in RF with the strong arm we need to stop runners from taking the extra base on every single hit to RF. I don't care if he doesn't hit a lick....bring him up before Hahn trades him away. BTW he's been mashing in Double AA. https://www.mlb.com/news/oscar-colas-homers-twice-for-the-2nd-time-in-3-games
  5. Right now it's easier to say that, but at the time there was uncertainty about his health. Carlos pitched 132 innings for us in 2021, he's at 116 and counting for the Giants. Prior to 2021 he only pitched 41 innings in 2019 to 2020 so if it was my money I'm not giving Carlos an 18 mil QO or the 44 million he eventually signed for. I hope he turns it around this year, but it's beginning to look like he's trending toward another dead arm come August-September.
  6. Another Adam Dunn move, no thanks
  7. Rodon has given up 10 runs and 3 HR's in the two games after the Allstar break......hummmmm could his arm be tiring like it did last year. I'll say one thing his teammates don't seem too fond of him. Granted the bat kick was a freak accident but his teammates had the look of disgust and seemed to be saying "what the fuck asshole"
  8. White Sox manager La Russa intentionally walked Dodgers shortstop Trea Turner with a runner on second base -- and a count of one ball and two strikes -- in order to have relief pitcher Bennett Sousa instead face Max Muncy, who promptly hit a three-run home run to give the Dodgers a 10-5 lead in a game they would eventually win 11-9.
  9. I would like to be in Hawk's living room while he's watching the Sox on TV, it can't be pretty.
  10. ?.....I don't believe so but have the Sox had a walk-off win this year?
  11. I can just hear Tony saying, he's not a utility player, he's a regular player who plays all around"
  12. or giving the utility player a 3 year contract and outbidding nobody.
  13. The Braves acquired 4 outfielders at the deadline- Jock Pederson, Adam Duvall, Eddie Rosario, and Jorge Solar. Do you think Hahn has the balls to do the same to revamp our outfield lineup if Robert is out for an extended period. Or will we see more of the same with DH's rotating the 2 corner spots without providing enough power to make up for their blunders.
  14. Nice TA, like you so much better than the bad TA
