  1. it was close enough with two strikes you have to protect the plate
  2. Just when you thought you've seen it all, once again the Sox don't let us down.
  3. Interesting thought about Yermin, I think Tony got caught up in his unwritten rules and blew that one. BTW, I caught a highlight of Yermin today hitting a HR after a double earlier, with no chest exposed, or 3 lbs of gold hanging out of his jersey. Hummmmmmmm wonder what the difference in Manager's is? Was Tony too lenient letting the players do or express themselves anyway they choose, trying to be a players manager and go with the teams "Change The Game" marketing slogan? Or is he just too old and out of touch to manage, I vote for both actually.
  4. For all you Ozzie haters.....the man brought a World Series to Chicago, end of story. It wasn't happening in 2005 without Ozzie's leadership and we would currently have the longest losing streak in baseball without him.
  5. Gotta love Ozzie, not afraid to tell it like it is. He's absolutely right and so is Pod's.
  6. Meanwhile the White Sox Manager is banking each misplayed ball, throwing error, stupid base running mistakes, over anxious at bats, pitching wildness, as a learning experience that the team will store in a bank so they can use later as a learning experience to withdraw baseball knowledge from. He never really explained when "later" will begin or the hours that this bank is open, but it clearly closes at 5PM on weekdays, noon on Saturdays, and closed for business on Sundays.
  7. And Tony didn't have the guts to pitch Cease and go for the win in game 1, game 2 is meaningless at this point we needed to take two today and have failed right out of the box by not starting our best SP in game 1. (sorry just catching up on the comments from page 4)
  8. One observation from todays game sitting on the 1B side. The Tiger's 1B coach was in his players ear after every pitch with hand on shoulder pointing out the different situations. Daryl Boston, not so much, rarely talked to the runner and never appeared to be pointing anything out.
  9. I'm old enough to remember being at the game when Tony left Britt Burns in to pitch in the 10th and watched as Tito Landrum HR sailed into the left field upper deck.
  10. Shit, Leury will never leave this line-up
